Demi Lovato's publicist reveals exclusively the cause of those marks on her wrist.
"She was wearing wearing Gummy bracelets prior to arriving" at Miley's bday bash and "they left indentations on her wrist," says her rep.
Them was some tight ol' gummy bracelets!!
Was she wearing her little sis' set?

They don't look anything like scars! they look like something had been rubbing here but it looks far from being scars or anything of that nature. It almost looks like a black marker.

Those are healing marks not, my bracelet was too tight marks. Puh-leese.
ah no no no no no…i know a cutter when i see one..those are not gummy bracelet marks. those are cuts. look at them they clearly aren't marks they broke skin…i never expected it from that girl..but everyone cuts when their that age.

hmm, i've worn too tight bracelet's and they DO NOT leave marks like that.

I was a self-injurer for 9 years, and I've been away from the razor for about 3. I can tell you that those look like healing wounds, and they look just like the cuts I would leave on myself. On the other hand, if she was really a self-injurer, I'd be pretty surprised to see her wearing anything other than long sleeves to conceal them. I say they're cuts, but you never know.
Now, she is a liar or stupid as hell. If those from bracelets, then why the hell she didn't take them of, if they were hurting like that? Disney…money with no brain…

Gummy bracelets my ass. That kid looks like she's tried offing herself, cutters hide their cuts in places that can be hidden with clothing usually. Suicidal people slash their wrists. I hate when celebs and their "people" try to play us as fools. They need to stop lying, and get that girl some help, maybe some time out of the spotlight being a NORMAL kid would be better for her.
Re: majorOJD – It's not JUST her business. She's supposed to be a role model to young children. What is she influencing them to do? Slice themselves open? If her family are too stupid, and Disney doesn't care more about seeing to it that she gets proper help than they do their next buck they plan to make off of her, then SOMEONE needs to care about her, even if it's the people whose children love and look up to her.

For those of you wanting to hang on to believing her PR people, have you never heard of hesitation marks? That's why there are so many scars, she hesitated.. then kept on hacking at herself.
I don't think she cuts. Why would she flaunt them like that if she did? The story sounds a little ridiculous though, but i believe she did not cut.

They are soft, pliable plastic, so the only way they could do any damage would be if they were pulled extremely tightly like a rope around someone's neck, in which case the marks would be greater around the curves of the wrist where the bone is.

i fxcking love demi to death. so i am backing her up 100% no matter what. honestly they look like cuts to me, but at the same time they dont. i struggle with cutting and none of my scars really look like that. on the other side, i have worn bracelets that have left bruises before. if you lean on them wrong for a certain period of time, they will leave marks like that. (and i didnt even notice that they were leaving a mark until i had taken them off) and they have only left marks on certain parts of my wrist before. now i am going to believe demi (or her publicist) on this one because i love that girl, but if cutting is the case i still back her up with my whole heart. i will be here for her no matter what. and if she is cutting that almost makes her even more one of my heroes than before. not because she is hurting herself (because that truly saddens me.) but because i know that i am not alone in what i do, and that i do have a chance to make it.
