2008 is ending on a stellar note for Hugh Jackman!
Most recently named People’s Sexiest Man Alive, the The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has just announced that the hunky Aussie actor will host the 81st Academy Awards, kicking 2009 off to a bright start.
Whereas most years the Oscar hosts have aimed for a stand up comedy routine, Jackman insiders insist the actor won’t be reduced to such shenaningans because there is “no interest in him being Billy Crystal.”
Self-important much?
Hopefully the Oscars will help Jackman recover from that casting snafu known as Australia.
And, since he’s a musical theater queen, he MUST do a song and dance number!
