Twilight Cast Upheaval! Who's In? And Who's OUT?????

There seems to be a lot of talk and UNCERTAINTY surrounding the new Twilight sequel, New Moon.
So much so that new director Chris Weitz and even author Stephenie Meyer had to release statements explaining the situation.
But what about the reports that the studio, Summit, doesn't want to re-hire "baby-faced" Taylor Lautner as Jacob. Apparently, they don't think he has what it takes to play the werewolf love interest/lead in New Moon.
The statements released didn't confirm his return.
That was NOT an oversight!
Now, reports are that the 26 year-old actor Michael Copon, from Scorpion King 2 (above, bottom), is one of the several actors director Weitz is considering to play the new and larger Jacob Black role.
A rep for Copon said they are making all efforts to land this gig. Even Copon is taking to self-advertisement by changing his Facebook status to messages such as "Michael Copon in a Twilight Zone!" and "Michael Copon is the older Jacob Black!" His rep confirmed that the Facebook is indeed Copon's.
Hey, whatever it takes to be noticed!
Even Summit confirmed that omitting Launter from the release wasn't an error. A rep said, "The casting decision in regards to the character Jacob Black has yet to be made."
Drama!!!
Additionally, 27-year-old Prince Caspian star Ben Barnes is also campaigning for a role. He's said to be actiively trying to get the role of Aro, "a mind-reading vampire whose "New Moon" encounter with Edward and Bella helps shape their destiny together." And, coincidentally enough, Barnes has the same manager as Copon and Twilight star Cam Gigandet.
We smell a big paycheck coming in for their manager!
But even when a lead for Jacob has been cast, director Weitz is only left with about 12 weeks until filming starts.
There you have it Twilight fans!

Here is what I think!:
Ben Barnes could possibly be a good Aro. I just imagined him a little older, in his 30's, i assumed he looked the same age as Carlisle, even though Aro actually 300 years old?
As far as Jacob, I think Taylor is the perfect Jacob, yes he is baby faced, but thats still how he is supposed to look in the begining of New Moon. Then he get's more mature looking.
I think they should gradually change Taylor's look through-out the movie, it wouldn't be THAT HARD! if they really think it's neccesary to change the actor, then they should still, slowly change Taylor's look, untill they can put STEVEN STRAIT in as Jacob. They look a lot alike.
but i really don't think they need to boot out Taylor at all.

Well let's just go ahead and ruin the movie.
1.) Taylor Lautner is EXACTLY what I pictured Jacob to look like while reading the book. AND I thought he did a fine job in Twilight.. not many parts, but he did better then Kristen Stewart.
2.) Isn't Aro supposed to be a lot older and wiser? How can Aro be younger than Edward? I pictured Aro to be at least thirty five - forty… did I picture the wrong thing?
3.) The guy who plays Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter should be Aro. The Volturi can't be a bunch of teenagers wtf?!

omg this makes me want to cry lol I am a 22 yeard old mom of two boys. A 4year old and a 5month old. The twilight saga makes me feel like a teen girl in love again. I love this series soo much, the books are amazing. I don't like either of this actors and I am truly saddened that they want to replace taylor. Yeah he might be young but he is a good actor and GORGEOUS. He just needs to bulk up and they can use effects to make him look taller. Please don't replace him! I feel a petition starting!

Ben Barnes will be great in New Moon, maybe Eric Bana is too old for Aro, but Ben Barnes - yum!! Ben Barnes could even play Jacob Black! He was wicked in Prince Caspian. The fact that they are rushing in to the shooting of New Moon tells me that it is going to suck major balls though, combine the too-fast production schedule with Chris "I slaughtered the Golden Compass " Weitz, and you've got a recipie for a straight-to-DVD-New Moon.
YES YES YES!!! Micheal Copon! The thing is….Jacob Black has a really dramatic growth spurt. Taylor should stay on at the beginning of the movie, but there's NO WAY he'll be believable as Jacob "after". MC was my choice for Jacob if they did New Moon. Now they are and my vote is YES!!!

If they absolutely have to replace Taylor (which is STUPID, because even though Jacob is huge he's still a little 16 year old inside), they should pick Steven Strait. He's hot, he can act, and his smile is gorgeous. I can totally see his face crumpling in pain when Bella chooses Edward. Yum!
