Akon Given Easy Sentence

As we mentioned earlier this month, Akon‘s court date with a Fishkill Town Justice Court had been postponed ’til today.

The singer’s assault trial came as a result of a June 2007 concert, when Akon threw a 15-year-old fan from the stage.

This morning, Akon pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment.

Akon paid a $250 fee and was also sentenced to 65 hours of community service.

Talk about getting off easy!
