I'm a lesbian, and of course i am pro gay marriage, but changes don't come from one day to the next. The percentage of gays in the world is only 7-10 percent and sure, we deserve to have equal rights, but maybe the world isn't really ready yet and has more urgent changes to focus on (and by that i surely don't only mean the US, there are countries where only the THOUGHT about gay marriage still seems absurd as there are so many other steps to come first).

Look, i'm 100% for gay equality. I love the gays. But let's be practical and real for a second. I'm a lesbian, and of course i am pro gay marriage, but changes don't come from one day to the next. The percentage of gays in the world is only 7-10 percent and sure, we deserve to have equal rights, but maybe the world isn't really ready yet and has more urgent changes to focus on (and by that i surely don't only mean the US, there are countries where only the THOUGHT about gay marriage still seems absurd as there are so many other steps to come first).
No one makes friends by whining all the time. And REAL changes don't come from whining either. Constructive criticism mixed with patience is the way.
