Taylor Speaks! To Meet With New Moon Director

Who's in and who's out?
In the revolving-door world of Twilight's sequel, New Moon, it could be anyone's guess!
After director Catherine Hardwicke was switched out for Chris Weitz, the next role up for grabs is that of Jacob, the primary love interest in the sequel.
Rumors were buzzing that Twilight's Taylor Lautner would but cut from the cast because (producers) Summit was looking for someone bigger and hunkier, someone like Michael Copon, to play the older Jacob Black.
Both actors are campaigning hard for the role, but no one has been confirmed yet.
In an MTV interview, Taylor says he's been working out since production on Twilight wrapped, putting on 19lbs and promising an additional 10lbs when filming beginings in 3 months, and wants to put to rest rumors that his agent has reached out to the special effects team of Benjamin Button to digitally enhance the 16-year-old's physique.
He adds, "As far as I know, I haven't been told 'no' yet, so it's still all up in the air."
It seems that Lautner is the fan favorite as well, with online polls and petitions showing overwhelming support for his return, for which Taylor says he's grateful.
In a new interview, Michael Copon is likewise hesitant to commit to anything and likewise puts to rest the Facebook campaign rumors, saying that the profile was a fake and has been since shut down.
But he does say that he feels the role is "perfect" for him and that he'd be "honored" to play the part!
They have 12 more weeks to figure it out!

J-14: Taylor's been bulking up to try to get the role. Have you been preparing in any way?
Michael: If anything, I feel like I need to bulk down. Right now I'm close to 200 pounds of muscle. Taylor's probably what, 140, if he's lucky? I'm already 200 pounds, so there's no need for me to get any bigger. Plus he's 5'6" and I'm 6'2". In the book, he grows eight inches and I'm exactly eight inches taller than Taylor. Huge difference.
J-14: Is what we're reading in the blogs an accurate account of what is going on behind the scenes of you getting this role?
Michael: There's no auditioning going on, it's a lot of talking. My representation has been talking to Summit and they're hearing that I'm one of the first picks. I got offered CSI: Miami recently without auditioning, so a lot of great things are coming without auditions. But I wouldn't mind going in and showing them what I've got. At the same time, it would be really great if they saw my work and trusted me. It would make me feel like they look at me more as a team player.
J-14: How familiar are you with Stephenie Meyer's Twilight books?
Michael: I've read the first one and I've dabbled through the Cliffs Notes of the second and third ones. I haven't had time to actually sit down and read the whole book, but I kind of know what happens.
Micheal Copon is a total douche. He insulted Taylor in the above interview. I hate him to pieces! I will boycott twilight if ever he gets the role.

2 things Perez….
1. Jacob Black is NOT the love interest in New Moon. Only for like a chapter or 2 of Eclipse but that's it. I, and many other Twilight fans, would greatly appreciate it if you would stop calling Jacob Black the love interest. I know you're not the only person who says this, but I'm working on it.
2. The reason they need a bigger guy isn't because Jacob is older. It's because once he starts changing into a werewolf, he gets huge. He gets taller after the few months that pass vetween Twilight and New Moon, but the actor change is needed because Jacob Black grows to like 6'7" and is muscular as fuck.
I'm spreading this message around like an STD so don't feel like you're being attacked…Cause you're so sensitive to crap like this, I'm sure.
