Good video but nowhere near a classic like Madonna's TAKE A BOW. You can't compare the two.

What exactly is she? A rockabilly girl who sings god-awful,poor man's alanis pop music? Does anyone actually hear her voice or are they too distracted by her notebook rip-off video? I loved the song before, but now I love it even more! Very nice video. I love too, the whole concept of a soldier-boyfriend/husband dying in the war - it's really tugs on my heartstrings for me. Very romantic in a morbid kind of way.

Heh. Sweetheart, that doesn't make any sense. You say you don't like the "message" of this song yet you enjoyed "I Kissed A Girl." There really ISN'T a message in this song: it's a song about nostalgia, which is a state of being.
I also want to add that while I normally cannot stand what Perez writes about people, I didn't detect anything rude or inaccurate (except the KY/XY unless it was a lame attempt at a joke) about this post.

Gay has two definitions: happy and homosexual. Clearly she is saying that the guy she was dating was so homosexual, (like a gay man) but he didn't like boys. In "Ur So Gay", gay isn't being represented as stupid or dumb. (Which is very wrong by the way). And as for IKAG, it's a fun, flirty, tongue-in-cheek kind of song. Not to be taken so seriously. She is not trying to be "part-time lesbian" or anything close to that. It's a song about an experimental kiss she had with a girl. And that's about it. Not trying to show off for guys or anything like that. You simply don't understand it. As for her singing live, I'm sure you've never been to one of her concerts, just MAYBE seen her performances on youtube. Stop repeating what other people say, you sound like a broken record. I don't know why people are dissing this video so much, I loved it. it sends such a powerful message about how war affects so many people's personal lives. I wasn't such a huge fan of this song but after I saw this video I gained so much respect for it. I love Katy Perry and this is probably my favorite video of her's, I love Hot n Cold though :]
uhh this girl just steals from others. her look is very pinup girl which has been done and then she wears crazy outfits to seem original when really they are not cute and just a disaster. One day she's hiphop the next she's country her voice is not that strong and she should stick to more upbeat pop tunes not ballads. If you want orginality check out Zooey Deschanel who can sing and act and who can actually dress.
