It is appropriate that she do the ads for Louis Vuitton….they both have leather skin. No more pics of mothers eligible for a Senior Citizen discount spreading her aging legs, please.

OMG…Some of these comments are so difficult to read. Are these haters serious? This is probably the most successful female entertainer of all time and this is what she gets for all her hard work? Take a look in the mirror! He without sin cast the first stone. Madonna has become an incredible human being anda force to be reckoned with in the entertainmnet industry with a concert tour in 2008 that topped any solo artist in history, and she's just begun. Madonna is a fighter and a pioneer. It's insanity not to be able to show some type of respect after this many years in the game. It truly shows the mental state of our country.

I think your comment was much more difficult to read than anyone else's on here. If people choose not to like Madonna, that's their prerogative, but concert figures and longevity doesn't and shouldn't automatically command respect. You act like she has a monopoly on longevity. There are many artists that have been around a lot longer than she has and are still doing their thing, and there are more talented artists whom are true pioneers and have worked harder to get where they are, and get blasted and chastised more than Madonna does (take Streisand, for example, to whom Madonna can't even compare herself). I'd rather listen to someone like Stevie Nicks, who is in her 60s, just stand in front of a microphone and sing the whole time, than watch Madonna prance around on stage.

She is a self-absorbed mediocre singer that slammed just about everything including religion, political figures, and has slept around to get ahead all for the love of money, fame and adulation. She wrote children's books as though she is a good role-model to them; meanwhile kissing Britney Spears on television. At 50, she is not maturing at all and is fighting so hard to try and defy her age; the harder she tries, the more ridiculous she becomes. At first (20 years ago) she was good…a trend-setter, dancing music, etc., but now she needs to look at herself from the perspective of others rather than her immature self. Everything has a time and place.
6.5 million for opening her legs which is more than she got when she first started out. she's looking more and more like some grossedout bad tranny than a woman of 50. Give it a rest, it's not attractive it's just sad that at 50 she is still soooooooooo desperate for attention.

Your comment was difficult to read, because I can't stop laughing at your analysis that it's a sad state of the world because people don't respect Madonna. Of course, if you look at the mindset of die-hard Madonna fans, you see they are delusional most of the time. I'm sure you believe in all the "dreams come true, I made it in NY with $35 in my purse" hype, but those of us that live in reality don't buy it. Nor do we buy that she's original, unique, reinvents herself, and all the other accolades that's always bestowed upon her. As far as Madonna's success, I don't deny her phenomenal rise, and sure she may be on top of her game (whatever that means–she hasn't had a memorable hit in years), but that doesn't mean I nor anyone else have to respect her.

question for the naysayers- Why should Madonna retire when she is probably the only female on the planet who can sell out stadiums, just had the highest grossing tour ever of any solo performer, hit number one in 39 countries with her recent album and still garners as much interest as peers half her age…this does not sound like a woman who is anywhere near desperate….poeple have underestimated her staying power for the past 25 years…trust me she aint goin nowwhere so get used to it!

I just wanted to chime in, you may have the last word. I think Madonna looks great for 50! She is a fabulous fighter and my hat goes off to her for not doing what everyone else is doing! Just because she's 50 doesn't mean she isn't sexy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and there are just as many fans and just ordinary human beings who believe she is a rare hero who many can look up to in life. It may not be your type of hero, but I've seen so many wonderful ladies who I thought deserved so much more fall short and after all these years, she is holding up amazingly well and yes, at the top of her game.
I know I won't sway you, you can't teach color to the blind. It's just how you see it. The horrific negativity, that you could change if you wanted to. That's your choice. i.e. Vadge, Whore. Does it make you happy inside to say those types of things? It is not of the Lord.
