That was horrid! Everything about it was just tragic. && someone tell me why her face looks like it's melting.
She could never sing.
She's so annoying and so is the damn song. I wish this nearly 40-year-old skank who dresses like a tennaged hootchie mama would just go away!!!
Being that I was a huge fan of Mariah when she was in her prime.. this really was disappointing and upsetting and TOTALLY unnecessary.
Why would she re-do a song and not change anything about it?? I mean, I thought it would be somewhat remixed. Lame Mariah. Almost as lame as your marriage.
the original is better. she tried to make some subtle changes, but i don't think it worked too well.

i dont think its a matter if she can still sing or not, i think its to do if she still sings from the heart. i believe over the years she has become way to arrogant and self absorbed therefore her words no longer seem believable.

The original was bad enough, but this…she's croaking her way through it, the video is about her dog, and it IS beyond depressing. I would have laughed if she hadn't once had a great voice at one time. My guess is that she's drinking too much and/or overmedicated on prescripition drugs. Whatever the case, it's destroyed her voice. I didn't like the original because the lyrics are so sappy–she originally wrote it for Gloria Estefan who refused to perform it, and I never questioned that–but at least Mariah sang the original on key. Very sad to see a once great talent come to this.

are you serious? i think mariah is tacky, annoying, and a shitty musician, but you cannot deny the fact that she has one of the best voices in the business.

Mariah has publicly stated that she has never been happy with the way Columbia records made her record it. She sounds great then and amazing now.. people really need to get over hating her, especially your ridiculous ass..
The video was lame, but it's a live version of a song. Watching you on talk shows…you stutter and stumble over words. I rarely stop by this blog any more because you're so nasty towards people. You're on their side when others find them popular, and you're just deflecting hate when they're not.
Sorry Perez, but I think it's rude to say that she CAN'T SING anymore. This might not meet the expectations because Hero (1993) sounded perfect, but admit it, Mariah's bad rendition is still good enough right? She has made her mark. Mariah will always be Mariah. She has dedicated her voice to us over the years. Let's just be considerate enough.

I prefer this version. Sometimes the high loud notes she does border on screaming and gets fricken annoying. Love to see anyone rubbishing her on here try to sing it live as good as she does…
