However, my father came to the US from Cuba when he was 10 years old, and he has told me that this country is so much better than the life they lived over there. There is so much opportunity and so much freedom here. Freedom to Cubans is something they can only dream of. So I know that the US gives hope to many individuals who would have never had the life they have living here. In conclusion, the US is very flawed, but it also is very good, and means a lot to most of the people who live here.
