Industry insiders reveal to PerezHilton.com that about 12.6 million people tuned-in for the Babs/Pat chat.
The interview special beat the People's Choice Awards telecast for the night's top spot pretty handily.
The awards show, comparatively, nabbed 9.3 million viewers.

I couldn't watch after seeing the commercials :/ Watching a man talking about dying and then questioning his wife how life will be without him and watching her cry is just way painful. I would almost feel sadistic watching or interviewing him about it
