- Caroline Kennedy is getting softer press treatment in her pursuit of the New York Senate seat than she did as the GOP vice presidential nominee because of Kennedy’s social class.
- The press coverage of her and her family was and continues to be 'unfair'.
- Katie Couric and Tina Fey have been “capitalizing on” and “exploiting” her.

For those of you arguing FOR Carolina Kennedy — do you even know anything about her, or her platforms? Or are you simply backing her because you know she is "liberal"? In general, anyone denying the benefits that ANY Kennedy family member receives in the political world is just in denial. If Palin is so unimportant– why is everyone so concerned with her family's issues? Obviously her family has been covered unfairly in the media. According to many users that responded to this post– she isn't qualified to be the 'leader of the free world" and should "suck a dick". So why does she still get so much coverage if she is utterly useless in the realm of politics? The media is obviously OBSESSED with her — whether it is in a positive or negative light. If Caroline Kennedy is so amazing, why did it take Hilary getting promoted for her life to truly become relevant?

It is wierd to me that she questions why President Obama's family was not brought into the media as much as hers. To me the answer is clear; President Obama did not broadcast his family. Sarah Palin tried to capitilize on her family - her being the hockey mom… being a regular parent like everyone else in order to gain the trust of house wives everywhere. She invited the media into her family's buisness by doing so, and there happens to be some questionable things in her family backround. I don't think she is a bad person because her daughter is a teenage mother… but, I certainly don't think she is an innocent victim. I am liberal through and through, I have never voted republican and this elections candidates justified my political views. However, I do think Sarah Palin is some-what of a likeable difference. Perhaps, she would have been shed in a different light with the media had she been President Obama's running mate. Who knows.

The press coverage is softer on Kennedy. How can anyone deny that? I don't see Charlie Gibson having Kennedy on and talking down to her. Or Couric sharpening her talons and putting her on the spot. I concede Palin did not prepare herself for the Couric interview. She has herself to blame for that one. But please, people are slobbering over Kennedy in comparison to Palin. The deification of the Kennedy family continues. How long can they milk and ride the coattails of a tragedy that occurred 40 yrs ago? Well, indefinitely, apparently.
Say what you will, the liberal media coverage of her has been at times venomous, if not malicious. Coulter was right in her "today show" interview. The media swooned all over obama during (and since) the election.
Whether you lean to the left or right, if you think Palin and her family weren't unfairly treated by the media you're delusional. NO ONE was treated worse, and she was only a running mate. The media leans left and it always has. Imagine if McCain was the one that was connected to people like Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers, the attacks on him would have been relentless, far worse than what Obama faced. MSNBC are the ones that breaked the story that a "top McCain Advisor" said Palin didn't know that Africa was a continent, it turns out that MSNBC's big story was completely 100% false. The media mistreated Palin and they continue to long after the election, meanwhile they praise the great Obama who's planning on another stimulus package and more bailouts putting us further into an insurmountable debt. It will be intresting to see how the liberal media tries to spin Obamunism into a positive.

I've never on a mainstream media source heard about "rumors" about Sarah Palin not being the mother of her child. And I watched TONS of election coverage on all cable news networks. People are delusional if they believe that. People talked about Palin's family because her family life was a circus. There was nothing interesting to report on in terms of Obama's family. She had a pregnant teenage daughter and she just gave birth to a baby 4 months before she's running for a White House office. I'm sorry, but that's ripe for some sensationalist coverage (but never by legitimate news sources). Especially considering how she came out of NOWHERE…LITERALLY. ..to become a VICE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE 2 MONTHS BEFORE THE ELECTION. And since when is Katie Couric treated as a hero?? I am always curious as to the soldiers in the military that still go into Iraq even they know they were misled and lied to about the nature of going into that country.
I have all the respect for the soldiers in Afghanistan and even the ones that went into Iraq before they knew they were being lied to.
But when I hear the ones that go over there now and they say "we are fighting for your freedom", I cannot help laughing.
