Prince Harry of Racism Apologizes

Prince Harry sent one of his minions out on Saturday to 'apologize' for the derogatory stuff (i.e. "Paki" and "raghead") he was captured saying in a video released by the News of the World at the beginning of the weekend.
The royal mouthpiece said, "Prince Harry fully understands how offensive this term (Paki) can be, and is extremely sorry for any offence his words might cause. However, on this occasion three years ago, Prince Harry used the term without any malice and as a nickname about a highly popular member of his platoon. There is no question that Prince Harry was in any way seeking to insult his friend."
And, in re. the use of the word 'raghead', the flack said Ginger had used "raghead" to mean a Taliban or Iraqi insurgent.
Uh huh.

Erm…This story has been blown way out of proportion. There is nothing offensive, let alone racist about calling someone who’s from the country Pakistan a Paki. Brits living in Australia don’t call for the racist card when they’re being called a Pom. Talk about overreacting! The guy in question never found it offensive, he never reported Harry to any authorities over this but as per usual, the media loves hyping shit like this up. My God, if people find this racist then we’re all racists; I call my American friends Yanks, they call me Dutchie, we call our Australian friends Aussies and our friends from New Zealand are kiwi’s..People need to lighten up. And to top that, the video was filmed amongst a bunch of army lads, guys who are all friends, who went through army training together and it is more then obvious in the video that they are just mucking about, like any bunch of army guys would!
Pulease, he's not racist, he is a guy who is in the military and like most people in the military, they use words like that, vietnam the soldiers called people gooks an stuff, didn't mean anything by it, and who does not make fun of there job. We Americans don't view pakis as "asians". Asians, to us, are Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. and we don't have a problem with them. We DO have a problem with the pakis as they are muslims and have declared "death to the infidels".

OMG!! I used to love the Prince Harry (no more than Prince William, of course!!!) but this is really racist, disgusting and patetic! And is the second time he make some racist "mistake!": first, when he dressed like a nazi and now this…and then pretend to be nice with black people in Africa (surely hates black people too) He haven't excuses! he is not a little kid to make "jokes" and "mistakes"!!

Aww finally I had to go back preety far to find this one, but I wanted to put in my two cents on this one.
I didnt find his comments racisit at all. It was clearly dirty grunt talk. He is talking like any boy sent to war, the whole paki thing sounded to me like it was a pet name.
Its a name not based on race but a joke about race.
