Britney's Old Manager Speaks Out, Says 'Comeback' is Too Soon

bssss__opt11__opt.jpg

We bet the current keepers of the Britney Spears kingdom, Larry Rudolph and Daddy Spears , aren't happy about this!

Johnny Wright, a 'former' music manager for Brit Brit, $poke to OK! magazine about the pop tart. His interview appears in the latest issue.

Here's what he had to say:

"A comeback is not what I wish for Britney. What I wish for her is to settle down and find real happiness. All her essential relationships have been torn apart. She's been divorced twice, she doesn't have custody of her kids, she's being pushed back into being a money machine.

I want her to be happy in her heart, then go back to the business because she wants to, not because people are convincing her she has to, or that it would be good therapy for her. It's too soon for her to be a part of a manufactured machine that is pushing her to have to be a success.

It was very telling when I found out Wade and Andre were no longer with the tour. They helped create the best tours we ever had with Britney. Wade is a really good influence and understands her. When I heard he was no longer involved, I knew there was a problem, and it is probably just the beginning of more problems to come.

Britney has to rival Madonna out there, but Madonna really wants to do it. Seeing Britney do it by the numbers isn't a good sign. It means she might not want it as much as those around her do.

In the beginning, in her mind, she could stop at any time. Now she's thinking, 'I've got 170 people on payroll, my dad quit his job, my mom relies totally on me and I can't take a break. I can't go back to my friends in Kentwood. I can't step back… that's tough for an adult, never mind a kid… When a parent becomes an employee of a child, they worry about getting fired, so they stop being parents in order not to get laid off.

Her career can wait. Now it should be about spending time with her kids. That's where she'll bring herself back to herself. But she's gearing up for much more time away from them while on the road.

Even if she's gone for a month, the growth of those boys during that period is significant. She won't see that and will really miss that. Those are moments she's not going to get back."

It's hard to tell. Does this guy really care about Brit or is he trying to do some underhanded sabotage??
?

Keep in mind that he was 'let go' by BritBrit!

If those around her had her best interests at heart, she wouldn't be making albums and gearing up to go on tour.

It's obvious she isn't happy, because she keeps broadcasting it to the world in every interview.

Her ex-manager is looking out for her and he is right about her needing to find herself first. Her family could have intervened but chose not to. Instead, they let her run amok for months acting crazy. It's only when they realized someone else might get their hands on her money, that they became interested in her welfare.

    I agree with him.
I don't know if what he said was for the right reasons, but I agree 100%.

  3. 103

Wow, this truly does seem to be a caring perspective about Britney and, judging by her recent comments and performances, I daresay that he's right. Her heart isn't in it, so why should she keep on keeping on? She's made millions, had a stunning career, so why not let her quit and be with her kids (if that's what she wants, and it's hard to tell, judging by her former partying ways)? Must completely agree that those significant moments that your kids go through are just so short and she should try her best to be there while her beautiful boys are young and need her. Who really cares about silly songs that mean nothing? Life should be about those who care about you, not meaningless things.

regaurdless of his motivation for saying all that it's absolutely true… anyone with a brain would know after everything she went through its wayyy too soon

  5. 105

fake slut.her tour will suck.madonna wannabe.u dont have adonna energy

  6. 106

he forgot to mention also, that the 170 payrollees and brit herself are slamming down our throat an inferior product.

I agree 100 percent with everything Johnny Wright said. I've been saying the same thing.

  8. 108

First of all, Johnny Wright is one of the biggest, wealthiest managers in the industry. He still represents Justin Timberlake on the side. He's known Britney & her family for years. I know you guys love her, but you know this dude is 100% spot on.

  9. 109

I think it's to soon too. I love 'Circus' but she herself said she isn't happy. I think if she wants to take a break after this she should. I'd love more music from her but I'm willing to wait as long as she's happy and healthy.

    HE's RIGHT!

I love Brit but its so the truth!

*Ciara hot new never ever single is out! Request it on radios!*

  11. 111

I have nothing against her. But, she does need to take it easy. Spend time with her children. They are only young once! At least wait until they are 5!
    She is still young enough!

  12. 112

    He has a good point

  13. 113

in tha pic, it doesnt look like brit, it looks more like j. simpson?- just my thoughts?

  14. 114

He's right. I feel really sorry for her that the only person who seems to have her best interests at heart is a fired ex-employee. They're gonna bleed her dry and be "so surprised and heartbroken" when she offs herself.

  15. 115

I couldn't agree with him more.
If her mom staged an intervention it maybe was well intented, but soon it turned into making money again.

How many interviews does Shitney have to give saying she is not happy, feels like a prisoner and what not, for her parents to see she doesnt like it at much as they do….and for all her 'fans' to understand she HATES it.

She should be with her kids…priority number one. If she really is the *cough* 'queen of pop' as people keep saying she can have a come back 5 years down the road…..if she wants to…

Johnny's right! natch! get it? seriously, he's right and they are wrong for making her be their money machine. until she gets the help she needs (and we don't mean pills), she'll be doomed for failure. Johnny hit the nail on the head. GO JOHNNY! too bad she was stupid and fired him.
P.S. 170 peeps on the payroll? no pressure Brit-Brit. get out there and be a workhorse and let peeps take advantage of you. so sad. :-(

  18. 118

    I love Johnny Wright.
I think he genuinely feels that way.
He seems like such a great guy.
    He's a great manager, too.

  19. 119

sounds like someone who cares, and someone who can speak out because he has nothing to lose on it.

  20. 120

i also wish that for her, even if he is lying or not he is right, brit we love u and we want the best for u !!!

  21. 121

She may have let him go, but DOES have some very valid points. It makes you wonder.

  22. 122

HE seems like he really cares about her. Go Johnny! Johnny Wright is a good man who does not need to ride people into the ground!

  23. 123

He's absolutely right. I predict she'll commit suicide within the year…

  24. 124

I couldn't agree more with this man. When she lost custody of her kids, and appeared totally indifferent, next thing you know she's got an album coming out and she lost weight and blah blah blah???

This would all be fine if she wasn't a parent, but her boys will NEVER forget her choice to neglect them, and only ordered them up to take Christmas pics for her website to release to the media.

And I don't care what anyone says, she does NOT look happy. She seems to be grinning and bearing it all. Best thing she could have done is pack it in, buy some private property in Kentwood, and focus on being a mom. She could come back in a few years if she pleases.

  25. 125

In a way I feel bad for Britney. A stage parent pushing you into the spotlight from the time you are young…not to mention Britney was marketed in a way that guaranteed she wouldn't last. She was a good dancer and I know it's been hell on her knees but the truth is, she is not a true vocalist. She is a product of sound engineering. She is a "performance artist". The dancing, the sexy outfits and the "shock tactics" are all marketing strategies that help detract from the fact that she is not a vocalist in the truest sense of the word. The jig is up, Britney. She has enough money that, should she play it right, she can live comfortably with her sons for the rest of her days and that's more than most people can say. These kinds of "performance artists" are a dime a dozen….it was all just a matter of time, really.

  26. 126

I vote for no come back @ all!!!!!!!!!!

  27. 127

Don't know who this guy is but I agree with him and think he's right! She needs to be out of the spotlight and away from the music biz for a good 2 or 3 years and get her head together. It's barely been a year since she was carted out of her house on a stretcher and thrown into the loony bin.

  28. 128

DAMN, has anyone in POP not been represented by Johnny, Nsync, 98 degrees, backstreet boys and Britney back then and now BSB still, Danity Kane and JonasBrothers, plus a shit load more, he is like a pimp of pop/rock and R&B. Ah Well, he is just looking out for her. She seserves to be happy, and I really dont think a comeback will do that now either. I think this should be her last tour for a while

  29. 129

i agree with this manager completely. look at everything that lead to britney's meltdown in the first place. she needs to focus on her own health and well-being, and being the best the mother she can be to her sons. after everything she's been through, there really hasn't been enough time for her to be ready to jump back into the money-making machine.
