Milan Puts Becks in Starting Line Up For His Debut. Are They Trying to Get Him to Stay?

David Beckham got the tongues of the European soccer press wagging on Sunday.
In his first 'real' game for AC Milan, dreamy David was selected to be part of the team's starting line-up.
Many experts were surprised as this was Becks' first appearance in a 'top-level' game since June 2007 (his last game with Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid).
Sorry U.S. soccer! You're just not as highly regarded as European soccer!
After the game, Becks told the media:
“I enjoyed it. I thought it was a very good game. I felt good playing with so many great players. I was surprised to start. I felt very strong. It was my first game for a long time. They’re a great team to play for with a lot of great players. They play very good football. But the future is I go back to California. That’s the agreement.”
If Becks continues to work hard, it looks like he could be 'starting' more games for the top-flight Italian league team.
AC Milan's head coach commented:
“I played him from the start because during the week in training he worked hard and earned it. He played well and showed he deserved it and because he’s intelligent enough to understand how this team plays, we were able to keep our balance with him in midfield. He’s a Milan player for two months and if he keeps improving I will start him again…"
A soccer reporter noted that Milan's head coach's decision to start him means the Italian giants are going all out to convince Becks to stay.

SORRY PEREZ, but people who like REAL soccer know Beckham sucks! they only played him because Gattuso was injured. No one really cares where he goes Milan has the real soccer players KAKA, Pato, Maldini, and Ronaldinho. Beckham is a nobody until he proves himself again. better luck next time!

For his career and talent (keeping in mind how many years he actually has left to play with all his reoccurring injuries) Italian soccer is the way to go. The league is amazing with great players and you can't compare it to the American league. It's like NHL vs. AHL/ECHL. If you were David Beckham wouldn’t you want to end your career on an impressive team like AC Milan then on a mediocre team?
He is such a SELL OUT! nobody should trust him unless u want to be rich.
