Vanessa Hudgens To Star In Twilight Sequel?

So now that Taylor Lautner is definitely in, it's time to spread rumors about the rest of the New Moon cast!
The latest rumor being that Vanessa Hudgens has been cast as the werewolf Leah Clearwater. They will use special effects to transform VaneXXXa into a human for the scenes where she doesn't have to play a wolf.
What do U think of that casting choice???

Re: kody1234 – Leah is not Sam's wife. She used to be his high school sweet heart but that changed when he met her cousin. Her cousin is who is now married to Sam who was too close when he transformed. So, to answer your question? No Leah is not married to the other werewolf. And yes, she is a werewolf, you just don't learn that until Book 3.
leah isnt suppose to be pretty first off she is suppose to be a little homely … i think that the part should be played by a nobody … plus i hate VH guts … YUCK!!!
Horrible. Leah may not be a main character but none of the characters in the Twilight Saga are insignificant. Vanessa is a DISNEY STAR, not an actress and I hope the rest of Hollywood remembers that. I agree that the casting needs to be relatively unknown to keep the reality of the book. They don't need an all-star cast to bring in money.

NOOOOO!!! Leah Clearwater is supposed to be a strong stubborn werewolf who hates that she loves Sam so much that she tries to bring everyone down by talking smack. Venessa H is one a horrible actress and two is sooo mousey, she is so wrong for this character I seriously will loose so much respect for the movie. Its about the story, not the actors and who they are. Plus she sucks, she hasn't even been in a movie since HS musical and she sucked in that. They criticize Taylor for not being big enough… when about this skinny tramp. She is supposed to be beautiful and strong looking in the book! They need to find a real actress that is sexy, fierce, and who fits the role!

Bad idea to cast Vanessa Hudgens, she is not any kind of a decent actress. I hope they will find another more talented actress to play the part of Leah. Please leave the Disney wash-outs out of decent movies. Thanks!

kody1234 - Leah is a werewolf, but Bella doesn't find out until Eclipse so I don't think they will show her as one in New Moon. Emily Clearwater(Leah's cousin) is the fiancee of Sam who is the Alpha of the wolves.

Leah isn't even in New Moon much AT ALL. It's the 3rd and 4th book that she is in. In New Moon she is human.

awesome features. i don't hate the choice of vh as i never have seen nor ever will hsm, but who cares? it's a tiny part. a bit bit part and she doesn't look way off for the role, i could mistake her for native american the same way i did taylor. there are far worse choices out there than her and for such a tiny role i could care less, where are the volturi?!?!?!

gross. i have no idea what is going on with the casting of these movies. what they need to do is cast someone new to write the screen play because "twilight" the movie was WHACK. they didn't spend enough time building edward and bella's relationship, which is all the book has to stand on because lord knows it's not the next great literary work.

Horrible, horrible, horrible choice. First of all, Vanessa cannot even remotely pass as Native American. Second of all, they would only cast her to try and bring in more viewers considering that she is well-known, just like how they added more violence to appeal to more guys. Stop ruining the movies! The books sold just as well without all these changes.
