Vanessa Hudgens To Star In Twilight Sequel?

So now that Taylor Lautner is definitely in, it's time to spread rumors about the rest of the New Moon cast!
The latest rumor being that Vanessa Hudgens has been cast as the werewolf Leah Clearwater. They will use special effects to transform VaneXXXa into a human for the scenes where she doesn't have to play a wolf.
What do U think of that casting choice???

BOOOOOO! it's a good thing they're both nasty. Hudgens compares to Clearwater almost as perfectly as Stewart compares to Swan. PERFECTLY.

Leah is only seen in New Moon once and doesn't become a werewolf until Eclipse, so I'm guessing that this rumor may be false. But even if they do cast her she's barely seen so it shouldn't be too bad to get through.
this annoying disney high school musical chic better not be in the movie, it will ruin it! please use an unknown actor for all the parts and not bring in someone well known already. too much press for her will start and get blown up… leaving the focus of the movie and the main characters.

No, no, no, no, no, NO!!!! I honestly don't mind Vanessa Hudgens but as a faithful reader of the Twilight series, I have to say she won't do. Leah is a recurring character and is important in Breaking Dawn. Vanessa DOES NOT have Leah's temper or the dynamic needed to play the role. She would be a weak and pathetic Leah. Maybe Emily but not Leah (plus Perez would love to see her with scars all over her face!

Clearly you didn't read it very carefully. Emily is the one married to the werewolf with the scars. Leah becomes a werewolf later on.
Leah Clearwater is not a werewolf. She's more like engaged to a werewolf. And based on the descriptions, Vanessa would be way too young and trashy for that role.

I would prefer actors which are not already famous for another special role, like Vanessa for Gabriella Montez!

I love the book and the movie was good although there were some very cringe worthy bits like how dodgey the vampires climbed or ran but with vannessa hudgens plaing leah? thats going to be the death of the series. they need some unknown actress who actually is native american thats the only way they can get it right

the people who want her as leah only want her because either they are die hard high school musical fans or the think that vanessa seems sweet. they have not read the books and thus know absolutely nothing about leah.
*spoilers if you haven't read new moon onwards* leah clearwater is the complete opposite of sweet. she's a native american tomboy who has a lot of issues regarding the loss of her father and her boyfriend of several years leaving her for her cousin (because of a werewolf trait called imprinting) and she has a serious attitude problem. *end of spoilers*.
since leah is only a small part in new moon, no one will see her as "leah". they will see her as vanessa hudgens or "gabriella" from high school musical. and to be honest, i really don't want hsm fans only coming to see vanessa and that's it.
