State Takes Custody of Child Named Adolf Hitler and His Siblings

A New Jersey couple who gave their kids Nazi-inspired names lost custody of the little ones on Tuesday.
According to reports, 3-year old Adolf Hitler Campbell and his two little sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, were removed from their home by the state's family services unit.
An exact reason for the kids' removal was not provided.
The Campbell family was thrown into the spotlight earlier this year when a baker refused to put little Adolf's name on a birthday cake.
No one thought that the couple might be a little 'off' and worthy of some investigation prior to the cake debacle????

A lot of people think that America's first ammendment entitles people to say what they want, live how they want, write what they want, treat other people how they want, etc., etc. Not true. The ammendment only applies if you are not infringing on the rights of someone else and their pursuit of happieness. Naming a kid after the most hated, feared, mass murdering psychopathic maniac in history is abuse of that child and courts may be successful in forcing a name change. There have been other documented cases of this happening when a nut case parent names a kid a superwacky or perverted name and the court feels it would be very detrimental to the child to grow up with the name.
there has to be more to the story-you just can't take a kid away because of his name-if he ends up in regular school, he would be called a nickname of adolf or ah, not adolf hitler. These kids were taken away for a non disclosed reason….does that not worry you? Kids are killed by abusive parents even though Child Protective Services has had complaints against them. Why will the government not take kids away from abusive parents but they will if the parents are raising their kids not to think the way that the government whats them to think. If the courts feel the name is WAY out of line and could be very detrimental to the child's devolopement, they most certainly can. And it has been done before. People are so quick and erroneous in defending their "right" by saying, "Oh, they CAN'T do this, and they CAN'T do that". Oh yes than can. If the court feels that the name is abusive and very detrimental to the child, they most certainly can. People are WAY too quick to assume their consitutional rights. There are most certain stipulations attacted. Freedom of Speach only applies if you are on public grounds or in your own home AND you are not infringing on someone elses rights. My favorite is people at work who shoot their mouths off saying, "They can't tell me what I can say at work, it is my freedom of speech". Uh, no it's not. The company is well within their rights to tell you exactly what you can say and not say on their property, even if you are on their property on a break.

I live in new jersey and fox 29 news said that the kids were taken away because the parents always fight. They said it had nothing to do with their names.

The children have been removed from their parents. According to online sources the reason the eldest child was given the name Adolf Hitler was because no one else would have it. There are good reasons for it's unpopularity. Holocaust anyone? So maybe the parents are completely sane and loving and all that…but those parents are going to have three horrified kids when they discover the significance of their names.
