As we mentioned earlier, Beyonce will be singing the song to Barack and Michelle Obama‘s first dance on inauguration night.
And although a Presidential Inaugural Committee spokeswoman had said, “It is our hope that we can keep the song secret until the moment,” that’s not the case.
Beyonce has gone and let it slip!
In a new statement, Beyowulf reveals, “I am so honored that I will be performing for President Obama and the First Lady. To sing At Last while they have their first dance is a dream come true.”
Did someone not give Beowulf the memo to keep it secret?
Dum dum!
She adds, “I could not be more honored and excited that they have asked me to be part of this moment in history.”
Beo will also be performing at the Neighborhood Ball airing on ABC along with her hubby Jay-Z, as will Alicia Keyes, Faith Hill, Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, Stevie Wonder, Sting, and will.i.am.
Let’s hope Beyonce doesn’t have her momma dress her for the event!
