Dakota Fanning To Join Twilight Sequel???

Twilight will be getting some more "star" power for part two of the film franchise!
According to reports, set to play Volturi vampire Jane, opposite hottie Robert Pattinson in the upcoming sequel, will be Dakota Fanning.
The soon-to-be 15 year-old is said to be in talks to play the Italian bloodsucker in New Moon.
A source reveals that "There were no auditions. They just offered it to her outright, and now they're in negotiations."
Really? DAKOTA FANNING???? As a vampire?
New Moon is expected to start filming in Italy this March. The flick should be released in theaters this November.
What do U think? Should Fanning take the role of vampire Jane?

They are completely ruining the Twilight books by casting all these familiar faces. They need to find "new" talent!!! Like they did for Twilight. Not all of those actors/actresses were well known and the movie was AWESOME!! I think stars like Vanessa Hudgens and Dakota Fanning are going to ruin the movie!! They are too "prissy" and I don't think they have what it takes to make the characters come to life.

Dakota is a good actress and a pretty girl. But, too young, and just not quite right for the Jane role.

love it! when i imagined the character, i sort of imagined what Dakota looks like, it'll be great, seeing a darker and mysterious side to her, image-wise suits her perfect in every way, i only hope she can bring out the rest.

Damn I hate Twilight!!! I really do…it is overrated in every way from the books to the movie/s! This was the only movie I walked out on-ever! Dakota and Vanessa will be the only bright spots in the movie. Vanessa puts Nikki Reed to shame whe it comes to looks, so much for Rosalie being the beautiful one.

I've seen Twilight over 20 times. If this ~ hired for her annoying cloying cuteness ~ person is in New Moon, I'm not going to see it. I couldn't stand to see her Hollywood "Cute" playing in the same movie as the other real actors. Who's horrific idea was it to find too well-known "safe" Disney-esque faces to play the evil Volturi? OMIGOD they've done it. Dakota Fanning in New Moon is like feeding your kids Twinkies and Pepsi for dinner because they like it. Why is it so frickin hard for Americans to make a movie that has real talent in it and not spoon feed sugary crap to the audience? Catherine Hardwicke concentrated on creating a work of art, not a cartoon to please the masses of kids who don't know acting from their …… I miss her. This news is so upsetting. It ruins New Moon for the discriminating.
At first I've had a bit of difficulty picturing her as Jane but I looked at her face some more and realized she does fit the role. I just hope that she is not gonna steal the attention to the main characters (Kristen, Robert and Jacob). Let's hope Chris know what he is doing!

i think dakota would do well in the film because she is a good actress but i find it so funny that whenever any well known actor or actress is rumoured to be in new moon everybody thinks theyl ruin it (except vanessa hudgeons because she would ruin it lol).

I dunno….I don't see Dakota as Jane. Jane looks more childish and she's small in size. I think Dakota would ruin Jane's character. She's completely different to the Jane I imagined in the books.

Yeah, they're supposed to be, but it's impossible to have actor THAT stunning. (And the actual actors for cullen defenitly aren't "supermodel", after all, it's a movie, the most important part is to have "good actor" before "beautiful actor".)

It's funny how all of you are so dellusional and think that the first movie was actually well cast to begin with. The only actors in that movie who actually have some acting credibility are : Robert Pattinson (and he's been better than this), Billy Burke, and Ashley Greene. Honestly those are the only actors that did any sort of justice to their characters. So it's ridiculous that you guys are bashing a girl who is actually incredibly talented and saying she's going to "ruin" the next movie. Umm wake up guys, the first movie was utter shit. It was completely laughable and ridiculous. So if they get Dakota they should thank their lucky stars that they have an actress with actual talent that can convey emotion properly and has the level committment to characters like she does.
Plus it's also hilarious that you guys don't think she can be creepy/bitchy enough. Both are not hard to convey, and she can definitely convey both of these with great ease. If she does go for this movie it will be a considerable improvement, and it's gonna be a welcome contrast to Kristen Stewart, who is possibly the greatest dead weight that's ever graced the screen. It will definitely be a great improvement if she does accept.
