This really makes sense.
According to reports, because convicted kidnapper Boy George is the getting ‘celebrity’ treatment from fellow prisoners and guards in North London’s rough and tumble Category B Pentonville jail facility.
He’s being transferred to the ‘softer’, less stringent Category C cell block.
A prison insider revealed:
“The governors were taken aback by how popular he was. A lot of the guys are of the age when they remember what a big star he was and how good the Culture Club songs were. But some officers were being too kind and giving him smokes. It’s ironic that he was worried about getting beaten up in Pentonville but all that happened was people showered him with so much attention and kindness that they had to move him anyway.”
Is that really teaching BG a lesson?
His celebrity is basically cutting him a break!
Then again, his safety is important. Don’t want him to end up….hurt…in the slammer!
