Back when he was a real artist, that rapped (not sung), he was amazing. I have all his CD's and decided to buy 808's & Heartbreak…big mistake. trust me, I was this close to trying to get my money back. he's let all of the hype of fame get to his head, and one day, when he doesn't even realize it, he'll be in obscurity because I'm pretty sure that his fans (including myself) aren't going to be fans for much longer.. he needs to realize that we like him as Kanye West the rapper, not singer (which, btw, he needs to learn how to do) so you know what? keep treating your fans like shit and acting like your shit don't stink, ’cause one day, you'll turn around and there will be no one behind you.

What great artist has to go around telling everyone how great he is? It should be apparent. In Kanye's case, however, it apparently is not.

It's no secret that confidence is not something that Kanye is lacking. But honestly, I have more love and respect for him than for most musicians out there right now… ESPECIALLY everybody in the hip-hop genre. Besides creating the sickest beats and the best rhymes, he's open-minded, he's intelligent(you can tell a lot about a person through their writing - blogs, lyrics, whatever. e.g. Courtney Love = drugged out moron) and he's continually striving to evolve his craft which he clearly possesses a genuine love for. Do you think somebody like Britney Spears is in this business because she loves what she does? I can assure you her driving force is fame and money. The same goes for that gun toting, blinged out loser Lil Wayne.

To all the "Artists" of the world: If you are true artists, don't collect the money or ask for any type of compensation. True artists do it for the ART, not the reward! Maybe donations might be placed in your hat on the floor, but even then true artists would rather starve than to take money to compromise their art. This artist is overpaid and overplayed on every radio station kissing his ass. I'm from the old generation, but I've heard that music can be downloaded for free now?? Go figure…

I think he's BRILLIANT, i really do. This shot was taken at the Lanvin Mens FH 09 show where i assisted him and he was just polite and fuss-free. The guy's a genius and honestly i never though i'd say this but he's like inspiration to all of us in the fashion world. He shows up and everyone just starts getting figgity and excited. And everyone was thrilled that he attended our show. He's a real cool guy with a very fashion-forward style.
