The UK's News of the World scored a picture of Olympics poster child Michael Phelps taking a big bong hit of what is assumed to be marijuana.
The tabloid always get their hands on crazy, juicy stuff!
The photo of Phelps supposedly getting high was snapped at a University of South Carolina party back in early November.
He was apparently visiting a university girl he was 'secretly' seeing.
We thought he was with that Vegas cocktail ho in November!

One of the partygoers told the tabloid:
"You could tell Michael had smoked before. He grabbed the bong and a lighter and knew exactly what to do. He looked just as natural with a bong in his hands as he does swimming in the pool. He was the gold medal winner of bong hits. Michael ended up getting a little paranoid, though, because before too long he looked like he was nervous and ran out of the place.”

The Golden Boys' corporate sponsors sure won't be pleased!
When Phelps' agents caught wind that the NOTW was going to run the pic, they supposedly got down on their hands and knees for mercy. The gold medal winner's money men offered the paper,
1. Phelps as a NOTW columnist for three years
2. Host for NOTW events
3. Advertising money from Phelps' corporate sponsors
We're glad the NOTW said no and ran with it!
More importantly, Golden Boy might be out of the London 2012 Olympics because of this eff up.
A law that bans athletes for four-years for taking drugs has just hit the Olympic rule book.
The US Olympics Committee, USA Swimming and Phelps’ coach Bob Bowman have refused to comment.

To anyone who thinks smoking pot is not a big deal, then you won't mind if your emergency doctor takes a hit before he works on you or one of your family members, and if your pilot takes a hit before he flies your plane, and yes Michael is not any of these, but smoking is a big deal when it impares your performance and judgement, and hurts someone you love.

And even if people are making the argument that he was at a party, not in a competition, he should still be aware of the consequences, especially with being in the spot light so much. If something is illegal then it is illegal, regardless of if "everyone is doing it". He should have known that doing this could cost him participation in the next Olympics…which in the end should have been more important to him than getting high at that party.

Fortunately for Michael Phelps, that's not an incriminating angle. Swimming superstar Michael Phelps has admitted to "regrettable behaviour", after a UK newspaper published a photo of him apparently smoking cannabis.
Mr Phelps, 23, who won eight gold medals at the Beijing Olympics last year, was pictured by the News of the World inhaling from a glass pipe.
The picture was taken in November at a party in the University of South Carolina, the newspaper said.
Mr Phelps apologised to fans and said the incident would not be repeated.
In a statement sent to the Associated Press news agency, the swimmer acknowledged the photo was authentic.
"I engaged in behaviour which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment," he said
