I saw when this aired this morning. Matt mentioned that he was REPLACED in his family picture by Jessica Simpson (on the magazine's cover). Obama agreed, and then further responded by inspecting the cover and READING THE HEADLINE. He said, "Apparently she's battling a weight issue." Right after the segment, Ann Curry even made a disclaimer saying he read the headline, NOT that this was his personal opinion. I doubt that he even knew people were making Jessica's weight a big deal. But because of people like Perez, he'll probably end up having to issue a statement. Duh.
