Christian Bale needs to sit his diva ass down!
Back in July we told you about his freak out on the set of Terminator Salvation when he got mad at the director of photography for adjusting a light during his scene.
The sneaky sound guys kept rolling throughout the entire incident, catching every threatening word on tape.
And it's pretty crazy! He threatens to quit that bitch if the director doesn't fire the offending crew member!
We're surprised the director didn't step in to wrangle his actor! He wasn't acting very professionally! And it was the DP, not just some grip!

What a piece of shit. Do the world a favor and disappear. I will never think of you the same way. You just lost all repect from millions of people and no I will not spend a cent to see any of your movies again.
If the person did something wrong professionally he should be pulled aside and spoken to in private, not reamed in front of a group of people, which is what I'm assuming happened. Christian Bale was very unprofessional IMO and no one should have to be spoken to the way he spoke to that man, especially in a work situation. Regarding Christian and being distracted while filming…dude, you're filming a movie, not performing brain surgery. Besides, you're getting paid millions of dollars, a salary which many people would love to have. Just shut up.

there's obviously some sort of chemical imbalance going on with him. i actually feel bad for him, this is really embarassing for him i'm sure.
In response to those that say he was at work and should have sounded off like that: Do you know what would happen to most people if they spoke and behaved that way at work towards another co-worker? They would be FIRED! Just because he is an actor does not take away from the fact that he is at a job. He wants to call the other guy unprofessional but behaving that way is extremely unprofessional no matter what the DP did. Just another example of actors thinking they are above everyone else! Maybe it's time to start valuing knowledge and caring in this society over being good at playing pretend.

you know, ofcourse he goes too far, but who knows what went on before this, it might have been a very hard or difficult scene or they already filmed for long hours. I don't know how wrong it was from that DP that he walked into the scene (i don't even know what a DP should do etc, i don't think i am alone in this) so maybe it's a very stupid thing to do and bale is right about that. ofcourse he could handle it with more manners, but whatever, we don't know what goes behind the scenes and what is normal on a movie set!! anyway who cares:D

I'm very disappointed in Christian Bale's behaviour because he's been my favourite since Newsies. You do not treat co-workers like that - and his anger outbursts lead me to wonder if this is how he behaves at home with his wife and his little girl. I try and separate myself from the celebrities' work I enjoy and the reality of their lives - but I feel slightly morally irresponsible paying to see his movies and buying them now.
At the same time, everyone has outbursts like this (plus or minus bad language). I can't say that I haven't freaked out before. Movies aren't walks in the park - they take a long time to do - and when your stressed and your trying to complete something so you can end your 14 hour day and someone has messed something up more than once - I can justify a little angry confrontation.
It does seem though that Christian Bale attemps to calm down and get back to work-when the DP or another crew member speaks to him(you conveniently don't hear what they say) and it seems to even further heat the burning situation.
Christian Bale needs to cut this guy some slack and apologize (which he may have done - did the person recording get that? - no) and in return people need to cut CB some slack too. People deal with their anger in different ways - and though his way is not the most appropriate or efficient way - it doesn't automatically mean he has the worst intentions for the crew on the set - or that he doesn't love his wife and little girl.

It makes so upset because i respect a lot of the actors who work hard on their movies (ie. Maryl Streep…) and hearing something like this just makes you think less of the business.
And i dont even understand how the director never said a word! I'm in uni for theatre and the number 1 rule is, RESPECT to your fellow co-workers.

Christian Bale is tough as shit that is all I can say. We don't know the whole story so we can't judge. He demands his films to be done with pure perfection because he loves his fans.
Diva? Was he screaming at a Production Assistant for not properly peeling the skin from his imported grapes?? No, the guy in charge of the way a HUGE and EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE movie was fucking up his job, Bale's take, and wasted everyone's time. And I didn't hear Batman threaten anything until the DP provoked him by talking back and telling him to take a minute. He was hot headed, but not with out reason. Think about that the next time you yell at the voice behind the drive-thru speaker for missing a hashbrown.

But it is never, EVER cool to make someone feel like shit, especially in front of others. If ya got a problem with someone take them aside and address it. If you can't wait then act like an adult and halt the production and say something to the director. Let him take care of it.
This guy is pathetic — he needs to be put in his place ASAP. I don't think he really deserves to be acting anymore on that scale — if this his way to deal with such matters.

Plus if you read some of actors/actress' interviews, they say it's quite stressful when they're shooting a scene and have to do it over and over again til it's perfect. Bale was right about blowing off steam at him; the director should've said something to the DP from the get go. Obviously, he didn't.

Perez - sorry man, but I'm on Christian's side here - not only did the DP interrupt a scene and destroy the actor's train of though and commitment to the scene, but this was the second time he had done it. "fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice, shame on you." The DP was out of order.

now that being said, i do think bale freaked out a little too much. scream a few "f*ck you"'s, dude, but no need to go on for that long. yes, the dp should've known better and shouldn't have ruined TWO shots, but seriously, 30 seconds of ranting would've worked too

I'm sorry, but this doesn't change my opinion of him at all. Maybe it's because I have a short temper too. People who work in high stress situations know that when a co-worker is not acting in the professional manner that is expected of them it can be a huge piss off. In these economic times THOUSANDS of dollars lost is a GIANT loss. It also sounds to me like the DP was a huge idiot and completely disregarded other peoples' working conditions, and just did whatever the fuck he wanted which ruined the scene. Of course we will never know personally how the whole situation went down, so I think this shouldn't become a huge factor on how we judge him as an actor. I'm not saying I would be friends with the guy, I just think he's brilliant on screen and that's all he needs to be good at for me.

No matter how seemingly unprofessional the behavior of one on a set, it is not right to match it with an incessant screaming fit which not only unnecessarily demeans and belittles the offender, but takes up precious shooting time. If anything, the actor calls for a break, then asks for the director and DP into a private meeting. Simple. There he can yell all he wants.
And being an actor myself, it sounds like Christian doesn't have a whole lot of concentration. There's a whole lot you can ignore and shut out with a little bit of concentration, no matter how seemingly unprofessional the distraction. I'm very much turned off by this diva attitude that actors are sensitive creatures. He's a baby, and should never be allowed to take out his anger like that. How easily the Hollywood types forget how lucky they are to be where they are. Thumbs up to the dudes who kept the sound rolling.
PS, If I were the DP I'd have apologized once, then once Christian didn't shut up, would have dropped a light on him. Maybe that would fix his attitude. If not his teeth and lisp.
