Christian Bale needs to sit his diva ass down!
Back in July we told you about his freak out on the set of Terminator Salvation when he got mad at the director of photography for adjusting a light during his scene.
The sneaky sound guys kept rolling throughout the entire incident, catching every threatening word on tape.
And it's pretty crazy! He threatens to quit that bitch if the director doesn't fire the offending crew member!
We're surprised the director didn't step in to wrangle his actor! He wasn't acting very professionally! And it was the DP, not just some grip!

k as much that was waaay out of control, he does have a point. I mean he could have handled it a little better, haha, but christian bale was right in the end (its only common courtesy).

You know, he seemed like more & more of a vagina in every movie he did, this just proves it. He sounds highly intelligent, when the only adjective he uses is "fuck". What a douche.

That abusive behavior is disgusting and completely unacceptable. No one should be justifying this. It's fine that he might have been angry or frustrated, but it is possible to express anger or frustration without abusing and humiliating someone less powerful. That tirade is the rant of an abuser, and he should get help to fix whatever is wrong with his impulse control before he ruins his career through unprofessional outbursts or does major physical damage to someone around him.
I don't think he overstep his bounds at all. Everyone gets angry and should express it. The dude he was yelling at was a douche.

I totally understand why he was so pissed off, but he could have chilled out a little. Threats are not cool for something so trivial, and I mean he is doing an fucking TERMINATOR movie for god sakes! It is not going to be a good movie… Not even sure why he is doing this movie to begin with he has real talent.

While I can understand being pissed at someone for wandering onto the set during a scene, which can be VERY distracting- and these are films that cost well over 100 MILLION a piece, beyond the initial 'stay off the f#ckin' set'…. he went from understandably annoyed to just being an overbearing tough-guy wannabe prick (Bale, you're about as intimidating as a house plant, sorry). Stop acting like a woman and profess your annoyance with the situation with tact and intelligence.
should also point out that…this guy's getting paid more for one SCENE than most of us make in 40 years. More for this movie than we'll make in our lives. He's also supposed to be a PROFESSIONAL, given that, and approach a situation like one. God. He's lucky Arnold isn't starring in the movie with him- I'd pay to see him backhand Bale into a wall- that's shut his punk ass up if nothing else would. I just know that for 20+ million, do whatever you want with the lights, I don't give a sh#t long as the th ing gets made. What a whiny bitch.

Actors have to do scenes over and over again. I can see where he would get mad about something like that, but it did sound a little diva-ish. The director should have been the one to deal with it. How is this just now leaking on the internet? This happened in July. It sounds to perfect, too. I think this is the studios way of increasing the anticipation of the film.

At least he stayed in character during the fiasco. They were making Terminator 4 after all. This man is money. I can't wait to see the movie now. He's money I tell you, MONEY! It would be different if he'd actually battered the crappy DP, but it was a verbal altercation that is making for great entertainment.

Yes, the light guy was wrong, however, I am sure it was unintentional, however, Bales reaction shows signs of a small man, trying to prove his manhood by belittling the other guy. No One deserves to be spoken to them that way. Bale…get over yourself…you are just a grunt…this is reminiscent of David Carusso. I respected you until now…as there are more respectful way of handling this situation. The truly great actors would never stoop to such a low level.

Dang, I'm sad I listened to it because up until this point he was my favorite talent/hot actor, top of the list. But that reaction is ridiculous, DPs do not get yelled at like, especially for adjusting a light, aka one part of his job! This guy didn't walk into frame, he was behind the camera walking around. If Mr. Bale needs total silence to do an intense scene he is 1) not the caliber of actor I thought he was. 2) should have requested a closed set.
Kudos to the sound guy - cause he just cost you a hsitload of fans.

Have u EVER been on a set? EVER? My husband is a DP and he even bans ME from sets! He has banned close friends who worked as crew member BECAUSE this kind of things happen!!! Do you know if you change lighting in the middle of a scene they won´t match???

Oh my god…..this is insane! Gosh I love Christian Bale, but because he used to seem like a sensitive, artistic type. This babble just sounds my neighbor from Brooklyn with anger issues. I mean jesus, you'd think this crew member tried to burn his house down or something! I'm still a fan, but Christian you need to get your shit together and have some more class!
I don't know if Perez actually reads these comments, but I want to tell him I was totally in agreement with him on the Bale-diva thing until I realized something. He was filming a romantic scene with Bryce Dallas Howard. BDH is really unattractive, which I would never point out except due to the nepotism of hollywood and people trying to get in good with her father, she keeps getting these ingenue roles. If I were Christian Bale and had to pretend to be romantically interested in BDH, I think that would take an extra-special amount of concentration. Because that is really ACTING, and any miniscule distraction will pull Bale out of his mental replacement imagery to face the real object of his fictional attraction, and any farse of chemistry cannot be maintained. And where exactly did Bale blow it? He said himself, when the DP was walking behind BRYCE. That's my new theory, so I give Bale a little more slack.

I've worked with many actors over the years and they are simply high strung and are always pushed to the limits in terms of expectations. Yes Mr. Bale was extreme in his choice of volcabulary but to interrupt an actors concentration when he's projecting a certain character is not acceptable and years ago the stagehand would have been given his walking papers without explanation. The tirade was a little extreme but not unheard of but it's usually hushed up before it hits the media. Nuf said - we're all human.
