Dakota Fanning Wants You To Know She's Not A Kid Anymore

Let's hope the adorable Dakota Fanning stays sweet and innocent looking.
We don't want her to go down the path of Miley Cyrus.
On Monday, not-so-little anymore Dakota (14) was spotted outside the Ed Sullivan Theater for her guest appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Fanning was sporting some hotpants and high heels. And she was definitely showing off some leg!
The outfit wouldn't have looked so Miley-ish if perhaps she wore different heels. She wore the same shoes to the premiere of Push last week. Though she paired the heels that time with a cute dress, which was a good look.
The teen actress turns 15-years-old this month. Should she be able to wear anything she likes?

The heels are too much. That is not necessary for a 15 year old unless she is going to some kind of ball.

She's a cute kid but this is way too adult. Not because its short - its just an adult look. Just imagine a man checking her out - gross, she's 14. Why such a hurry to grow up? She is even keeping her mouth closed when she smiled, trying to look cool/sexy. Where are those open-mouthed toothy smiles she used to flash? Only recently there were pics of her cheerleading at school and I thought it was nice, she was just being a kid and having a normal life. This is a disappointing contrast.

Since she's turning fifteen soon, I think that she's dressing quite appropriately. That is, compared to her "celebrity peers". I understand that people think Miley Cyrus dresses too scandelous for her age, but when put next to Taylor Momsen, she looks like an angel. In my opinion, the only Tween-Star to be criticized for their appearance is her. She's a little older than fifteen, yet she dresses and looks as if to be in her late twenties. I don't care if she's "famous" or not, she looks like an idiot.

girls hit puberty sometimes long before the age of 15. It is normal for them to start trying to dress sexier at that age being they are going through hormonal changes in their body. I can say that I have seen way worse. i think her outfit is cute / playful and yet slightly going in a more mature direction

Her shorts are not too short and she is not too skinny, she is a child and she looks healthier than Hohan!! It's cute in a acceptable sexy way. It's not nearly as revealing as a pair of shorts she might be sporting in the summertime. It's very elegant. I have no fears about her turning into a Miley. Her intelligence level is way beyond that, just go watch interviews of her when I Am Sam was released. Girl has it going on!
