FUCK OFF WHOPPI! PUHHHHHHHHHplease! He's a stupid fucking actor who thinks he's entitled to anything he wants. I truly hope his movie tanks and I truly hope everyone out there will boycott anything he is in. I feel for the guy that got blasted by that asshole!

His actions were totally uncalled for. And Sherri talking from an "actor" standpoint? Um, girl you play yourself in every damn movie you're in. The "ghetto bitch who thinks she's funny". And when was the last time Whoopi was in a legitimate film? Give me a break. Yes, I see it's another "view", but regardless of how hard it is to be on the set or how many hours and blah blah fuckin blah……He was unprofessional, and you have to STAY in a professional manner and not be an egotistical jackass. kay?

I agree with Trevor when he says we should boycott c.b movies! These actors are rich because WE still go see there movies. Let's not forget his past bad behavior towards his wife and mother in law! This guy makes me sick!

If Woopi thinks Bayle's outrage is "normal", then she, like him, is a very sick individual. I now realize that Hollywood actors are so fucking outside reality that they live in a world of illusion. Think about this, they are pay millions of dollars, live in mansions, have private plains and are surrounded by enablers that said YES to everything they said. Christian Bayle is one of them. Its honestly very easy to miscontrew and twist the truth. Sure, we heard the recording, but we really don't know what's behind it. Maybe the Director of Photography had it coming. If Whoppi can back Christian up, obviously what he did is common in the acting world.

You have to remember that Christian Bale is English and he kept his American accent throughout this whole tirade (or at least tried to). How much of his rant was just him staying in character? From what I hear he's quite the method actor. Also, the guy had it coming. Second mistake like that and he should have been fired. It's not a matter of "treating him like a human being," he should have been doing his job. Coming from the dance world, this is nothing to how choreographers treat their dancers when they mess up.
This guy has anger management issues. Didn't he beat up his girlfriend or something recently? He better watch it…he's not even that good of an actor.
I like Whoopie, but this is ridiculous - Joy is dead on - he's taking his rage out on a goof who screwed up. Even if you call movie-making art - which it ain't 99% of the time - a real artist would be able to get back into it without blowing like Mt. Vesuvius. Actors are cosseted divas who get away with too much CRAP!
I worked in theater for 15 years… backstage as a stage manager, assistant stage manager, a production manager, a personal dresser (worst position), and other things and have had my share of Diva's… what Bale did is no worse than some mediocre stage actor freaking out worse than Bale and then almost quitting the show because the elevator to the back stage was turned off and he had to walk up a flight of stairs… Bale was tame lol
No! his behavior was completely unacceptable. i understand he had a right to be frustrated and annoyed by the dp, but you just dont talk to ppl like that. theres a right way to voice your frustration and he clearly stepped over a line. thats beyond disrespectful and degrading to a person. he handled that entire situation horribly. and i agree that he wouldnt have talked to the director or another actor like that. he was being an asshole to the dp because he knew he could get away with it. i have 0 respect for that man.

it's definitely changed the way i think of him. yes, everyone gets mad, but he belittled the guy way past extreme. now i just think he's a really mean person. still think he's a good actor though.

i don't know how many of you work in production but the fact is we know little about the circumstance of "the freak out" productions days are anywhere from 10 hours on up, 12-16 hours are very common. I have personally worked a 23 hour day on a low budget. we don't know how long they had been working how long it had been since they had eaten and let's face it some actors are far more intense than others. christian bale is a perfectionist and someone was screwing up and prohibiting him from doing his job in the way he wanted to perform and he was 100% right, you touch a grips lights and they will have your ass, you fuck with a DP you are gone and yes if you piss off a lead actor forget about it. i have personally heard worse shit come out of lesser known actors mouths and a certain well known lesbian photographer berate and scream at everyone for lesser infractions. i don't think that people understand the intensity of production work or the pressures of performance. cut the guy a break we all have said shitty things to others at some point that we are not proud of and fortunately sound does not speed in most of our worlds.
In my opinion anything Christian Bale does is acceptable.
