Since Sirius took over XM, it's been a giant pile of dog shit. The Sirius hosts are some of the worst I've ever heard, and they never shut the hell up. I canceled my account, just wasn't worth it anymore.
Bad business plan all the way around. They have no competition and should have a very low operating cost. Maybe stupid decisions like hiring Howard Stern for millions should be rethought. I bet he gets his money up front.

I cancelled months ago and they just sent me a statement saying my monthly payment is late and going to collections. My statement shows that they reactivated my account at a discounted rate and have been trying to get electronic payments off my expired AMEX.

great - sirius just got a years worth of payment from me. and xm just got a year's worth of payment from the boyfriend because the new car i got had xm in it and EVEN THOUGH they've merged into ONE company you still have to pay for subscriptions to whichever hardware you have. AND you have to pay extra on xm to get howard.
i was so on board with this merger from day one. howard made it sound like it was going to be SOOOOO great for the listener. and now i just feel taken advantage of.
I knew they were fucked when their customer service agents started pushing the "lifetime" membership on me. I told him if they were offering those, it's a sure sign they are on the ropes and he should look for another job. He assured me the company was doing GREAT!
Why does Sirius have deejays anyway? they never STFU. Sorry to fire people but they do need to do that. It is commercial-free music, right? So why do we need ON AIR people? The song and artist is listed on the screen.
