After more than a week of silence, alleged girlfriend beater Chris Brown just issued a statement about the incident this past weekend!
He says:
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."

Coming from someone who has taken many a law class and is in school to become a publicist, when you issue an initial statement on something this big you wouldn't address the other party directly. I'm assuming that the majority of readers on this site are teenagers and young adults so I'm glad that they are being exposed to a topic that is usually kept behind closed doors, I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't the first time that Chris hit/beat up Rihanna as usually according to statistics it takes a woman being hit more than 20 or 30 times to report domestic violence in a relationship, and she wasn't even the one to call the police it was a bystander. If that is the case than that's pretty sad because many woman who stay in an abusive relationship do so because they have nobody to turn to, they have no money to support themselves if they ever did leave and/or they have children with the man and they don't want their kids to grow up without a father. Rihanna is young, successful, has lots of money and family, friends, millions of fans, access to any resource that's available to help her get through a difficult situation, she wasn't married to Chris, has no kids……. so if if comes out that this was not the first time than I'm sorry to say she's got serious issues and maybe there is more to this story.
