This is just too bad. U2 used to be such an amazing band, if they can't find the inspiration to make great music anymore, they should just call it quits.

U2 has always been overrated. They became famous during a lull in good rock, so looked better to a desperate public than they were. They can pop out good stuff, but should spend the time creating something brilliant, as they can do far more financial good for the poor in the world that way than spending their time fighting for the poor but putting out something that is so-so. If they really feel they love their new album, then my point is just another opinion.

Perez, all U2 fans know that it takes a few more times listening to a new U2 album before it grows on you. Get on Your Boots has really grown on me and now I love it.

"Get Your Boots On" is an AWFUL single….I think it's time for them to wall up in a studio for a couple years and work on their next Achtung baby.

U2 has been underwhelming for a long long time. But because Bono became another Mother Teresa ala Angelina Jolie, the media drooled all over them and kept giving them props. They need to stick to their greatest hits.
The old songs are better. Oh well.
I'm not sure what Perez was listening to … the first two tracks, upon first listen, are awesome. Bono's voice isn't operatic (like on the last two albums), he sounds more like the Bono from Unforgettable Fire and Joshua Tree. A very welcome return to form in his voice and the band's sound. I agree that "Get on your boots" is no "Beautiful Day", but so far this album is good. I have a feeling the real music critics are really gonna like it.

Wrong mario! I just downloaded it and am listening to it now, and it is what it is..a U2 album, like the poster said above, it takes a few listenings but its not any better or worse than any of their other albums.. Having Perez as a music critic is like having Sarah Palin for a science teacher..
But they will probably receive rave reviews and win 6 grammys next year for it.
I didn't like what they did at the Grammy's this year, so I'm not surprised.

U2 ROCK! No Line On The Horizon is one of U2's best album's to date. It really isn't their fault that you all have absolutly no taste in music! Are you all tone deaf per chance? Listen to No Line On The Horizon 2 and see if you like it. I bet you'll love it! And "Breathe", it's being called U2's best song by Brian Eno. Anything that man says has to be true since he's a genius.
And anyone who thinks Coldplay are original and creative is an idiot. Plain and simple!
And really, if U2 make such shit music, then why are they still a band, selling millions of records each year to fans all over the world, and together after almost 35 years!?!?!?!?!?!?
