This is just incredibly shocking.
Owen Wilson's emergency hospitalization on Sunday was the result of a suicide attempt, The National Enquirer and Star magazine are exclusively reporting.
Sources tell the mags that Wilson sliced his left wrists and took an indeterminate amount of pills.
Wow. Wow. Wow.
Owen was discovered by a family member who summoned help.
Police and an ambulance responded to a 911 call from Wilson's house in Los Angeles around noon on Sunday.
Owen is said to be in stable condition at the moment.
This is hardcore.
Suicide is never a good option, kids.

"Owen Wilson has now been transferred from St. John's to another Los Angeles area hospital. His brothers Andrew and Luke are with him.
"Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. Both of Owen's wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills.
"Owen was found with a nearly empty bottle of pills next to him. He was at his house in Santa Monica."

this is unbelievable, suicide is one of the worst things to go through i had a very close person to me kill himself and im still shaken up to this day. i hope owen gets better.

Sometimes people who seem the life of the party or really funny are really depressed. I know two guys who were always a riot to talk to and they both committed suicide.

awe, i hope he's okay. he's awesome, and actually i love his acting but he is SUCH a good writer too! he cowrote Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums with Wes Anderson. and although im a fan of Wes and his movies, the life aquatic wasnt the same because he didnt have Owen as a writer on the project!

perez, i think you should know that news of suicides cause more suicides. i know you are a gossip reporter and all but if you really don't want suicides to happen you should probably not blog about it. at the very least, leave a number to a suicide hotline on this entry.

Who knows if this story is true, however, I HAVE heard (despite rumors of him being the "Butterscotch Stallion" or whatever) that he is gay. But who knows if that is accurate. But if both of those things are true, that could be a connection. I wish him and his family the best… very sad. Losing family to suicide is just unexplainably horrible.
I absolutely ADORE Owen Wilson. I hope that he gets the help he needs. I don't want him to do something stupid like suicide. He's so talented.

This is incredibly sad news. My partner of over 5 years ended his life July 19, 2007. Suicide is never the answer. It is devastating for those left behind. Owen and his family are in my prayers. Owen, people love you and want you to live. Take care of yourself. Life is worth living no matter how bad it gets. There are other options.
