Don't take it so personal. I have been in an abusive relationship before a couple of times. I even went to the extent of prosecuting one of the guys. I actuall chose a different course than RiRi, I actually terminated my relationship immediately with the abusers after growing up watching my mother stay with an abuser up until the point he passed away of natural causes of couse. Now she is happier than ever and realizes that her life could have been so much better. I geuss what I am saying is that every one is different, I was as shocked as anyone else when I first heard about this. But again everyone is different and we should not stereo type anyone. We are all on the outside looking in and really we should not be. They should be able to deal with this privately. I geuss she sees something in him that makes her want to give him a second chance or at least be friends. Anyone can forgive, and yes it is ok to forgive but not forget. Do not be so judgemental and angry, this world is so full of that already. The only reason I said he probably won't do it again is because everyone will be looking at him under a micro scope and for his own career if it can be salvaged, I do not think he will won't to make this type of mistake again. Looking at it positively, may be they both will receive some good counseling and be spokes people for our young generation and let them know there are other steps and means of dealing with anger.

This is a huge disappointment and bad example for young girls everywhere. No, I'm not saying celebrities should be considered "role models".
