Simon Cowell was pulled over by police in Los Angeles on Friday for two different violations. Failure to display a front license plate and for not wearing a seatbelt!!
How stupid!
The American Idol judge laughed off the incident, but not wearing a seatbelt is just ridiculous!!
Luckily for him, he was able to sweet talk his way out of a ticket!

In retrospect, we never should have allowed lawmakers to force us to buckle up. It was the beginning of the nanny state explosion, and our freedoms have contracted every year. Yes, we should buckle up, but we should do it because we want to live, not because the government makes us.
We used to be a nation of adults, not a nation of children who need to be overprotected and scolded by one encroaching government agency after another.

You don't think this day is coming? I do. The scorched-earth types who don't want to force us to be vegetarians and who want to force us to use re-usable toilet paper, and who think gas taxes should add a minimum of $10 a gallon gain political traction each year.
They want us immobile and helpless and at the mercy of the government so they can control us and our use of natural resources. They'll take private jets and limos, but the bus is good enough for the rest of us. Your mentality - rage at the idea that adults should be able to decide for themselves whether or not to buckle up - is helping them enslave us little by little.
Fight back and elect people who promise to protect our LIBERTY, not to treat us like children.
