Snoop Dogg Converts Open Up About Converting To Islam

Snoop Dogg spent his Sunday attending the Nation of Islam's annual Saviours Day convention, donating $1000 to the organization.
His first Saviours Day convention, Snoop sat behind Minister Louis Farrakhan, and afterwards said, "When you get a speech from Minister Farrakhan it's about a mirror, it's about looking at yourself. It's about seeing yourself and what you can do to better the situation … We're doing a lot of wrongs among ourselves that need correcting."
When asked if Snoop was a member, the rapper replied, "I'm already in the Nation, that's why I'm here. I'm an advocate for peace. I've been in the peace movement ever since I've been making music. My whole thing is not about really trying to push my thing on you. It's just about the way I live, and I live how I'm supposed to live as far as doing what's right and representing what's right. That's why I was here today."
Apparently Minister Farrakhan has made an effort to establish peace between rappers.
Why not? They need it!
They should have a talking to Chris Beat Her Down while they're at it!

Good grief, all you people…
I'm 16, i love my religion and i find it sad that everyone else who doesn't care to educate themselves about it, or at least look past a couple of groups of people who take things waay to seriously judge Muslims as a whole as terrorists. It would be so easy for me to say that Christians are all pedophiles but i know they're not. I have friends who are Christians and i respect them and their faith. Stories of honor killings and such are not part of Islam at all, these are all traditions of a country or culture which has NO ties whatsoever to Islam. Women aren't looked down upon at all, in fact, in Islam women are seen as equal, if not better, to men. Again, these stories of women having to walk three steps behind men and such are all traditions of a culture or country. We shouldn't judge people of different religions based on what a few extremists or misguided people did. And to MaggieMay, i'm not plotting a downfall of the US, in fact, i actually admire the country and wish to work there someday.
Louis Farrakhan has stated that "White people are potential humans…they haven’t evolved yet." Good job on admitting you're racist, Snoop.

If you "PERSONALLY" don't think that way then great…..but far to many in your religion do. It is a VERY serious issue in Islam (along with Homophobia) that Muslims always seem to be trying to blame on the media….People would be less critical of the Muslim community if you would stop trying to sweep those issues under the rug and start dealing with them.

Break, Muhammad is a historical figure, and there is substantial evidence confirming his existence, so I'm not sure where you got the idea that there is no proof of it, as you mentioned in a previous message. It seems you're confused. Furthermore, I agree that the concept of the Christian God is not 100% proven (this is in fact entirely impossible, hence the concept of faith), but there is also no solid proof to suggest that there is no God at all, so to suggest religious individuals should be atheists because a lack of proof, is a flawed argument (as is the argument that all atheists should 'believe' because of insubstantial proof for the non-existence of God). And again, certain individuals within Islam may be sexist or homophobic, just as there are sexist and homophobic individuals in Catholicism, AND secular society, but this is certainly not everyone. Once again a faith cannot be restricted to such a narrow definition because of one group of individuals, (even if you CAN find passages from the HISTORICAL texts that promote the value system of the time it was written. Yes, this means just because the Qu'ran or Bible says it doesn't mean it holds true for the structure itself today) That being said, I'm frankly not entirely interested in continuing this debate via perezhilton.com, so I will leave it at that.

Lets look at an example of sexism in the muslim faith. Lots of muslim women who live in countries where they are not forced to wear the veil…. wear it because they say the Koran tells them they need to cover as a sign of modesty. They wear it because their haired is deemed attractive and so they must cover it…..so why don't the men do the same?…..is their hair not attractive to women? of course it is. SEXIST!!! It's was funny when you claimed I was not cultured…The fact is i'm far more cultured then you….far smarter then you and not brainwashed by ANY religion like you.
