The National Enquirer has the most recent images of Patrick Swayze on their cover.
The actor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January of 2008.
The life expectancy of most people is just 6 to 12 months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Patrick's a fighter!
Hopefully he's not in pain.

Im getting really irritated with all of this coverage of people dying of cancer, I already wrote something about all your coverage on Jade Goody. As a two time cancer survivor I think its really insensitive to be covering his story as well… let him be, he deserves his privacy and does not need your fake little comments that your wishing him well and that you hope he is not in any pain… Perez all your doing is trying to get hits on your website to make money for YOURSELF by blogging about people dying of cancer? I mean come on…. were here for celebrity gossip, something that makes us laugh not to pry into the lives of people who are already suffering more then anyone can even imagine, just leave them alone and let them be

My aunt Teresa was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 1997. She was born in the US but since her primary residence was in South Texas she traveled from Louisiana to Reynosa, across from where my grandparents lived. At first they thought it was gallbladder stones, once they opened her, because it was an emergency surgery, the Doctor saved her life by redirecting some tube so she could eat but told her she had cancer and needed more specialized surgery. She then struggled with the US medical system because she was single and had $30,000 saved. Well before they gave her any assistance she had to spend it in surgeries. Finally she received help in Houston at UT. She had an experimental surgery, radiation, chemo. She stopped the chemo and died in July 7, 2000. She struggled with the disease, but was very strong till the very end. I feel for Patrick because I have had a personal encounter with someone that had the same disease. He is in my prayers.

Read People.com for Patricks Update on his Health. He Said he is doing good and is even writing a book and just got a new dog! lets all stop hopinbg for the worst and send postive thought and prayers to him. Perez you should know better

These pictures are so sad, makes me think of when my father had pancreatic cancer. It is truly the worst cancer, little survival rate, my dad was in a coma for 2 months and it is a miracle he is alive and well today.

How do we know these are recent? These could have been taken when he first started his treatment and the sleazy Enquirer saved them when they need a story.

The Swayze's are always such a happy pair. My prayers for them. So awful. Even now he is still a commodity to the industry-a dying star. To bad he can't just be left alone.

He's in pain, my dad has acute pancreatitus and is always in pain, and nausous(sp?). So if Patrick has the actual cancer. . . . bless his heart. Its a difficult organ to please and very difficult to have it function normaly. My heart breaks for him :0(
