Did you know that in Vancouver, Canada, you can smoke herb in the streets and the cops won't arrest you?
Apparently, everyone in Vancouver is very "green"-friendly.

yes its true…..BC-ers are still trying to legalize it….but the coppers dont really care so long as your not hurting/bothering anyone by it…they got bigger fish to fry than worrying about a lil weed….P.S, its like that on Vancouver Island too…..Come visit me Perez!!!!!
It's basically like that in most places in Canada. Stoners don't get in cops faces and the cops basically don't give a shizzzz ( there are more important things after all)

Smoking weed shouldn't be that big a deal…
You can do the same thing in NYC. If for some reason a PoPo decides to hassle you, you only get ticketed (same level offense as a parking violation). Woot woot!
there not THAT easy on you. We have the amsterdam cafe downtown where you can sit and enjoy a drink and a doobie and theres also the BCMP (british columbia marijuana party) and they have a lounge in the back where you can toke away at one of their vapos, and on 4:20 theres thousands of people lighting up outside of the art gallery and there are cops patrolling, but they dont do anything about it. but other than that, i dont see that many people walking casually down the street smoking doobies and you deifnetly cant light up in just any restaurant or coffee shop. oh we also have the Compassion Club which is a weed delivery service, but its kept very DL.
Canada's last Prime Minister tried to decriminalize weed. Police officers dont care if you're smoking your own personal spliff. they have better things to do.
in canada we also have free health care, right to choice, no drug tests for jobs, a multiculture society, and same sex marriages. we ARE that liberal. its a great place to live.
oh ya, and we love lily.

You can TOTALLY get arrested for smoking in Vancouver! They will arrest you for posession even if you don't have that much, and if you do, the'll arrest you with posession with intent to sell!!! Don't do it guys! People always try to do it in Whistler too, but the cops will arrest you there too!!
I was smoking weed in downtown Van and got harassed by a cop, but he couldn't do anything because we put it out and he didn't see it, just smelled it. He still felt the need to harass and intimidate us though. Legally, if you possess an eighth or less, you will not get arrested, just have the pot confiscated. I live in Victoria, (Vancouver Island) and the cops here are more chill than in Vancouver. However, I would not want to get caught driving and smoking weed, there is a chance you could get arrested. It certainly is not legal here, and (particularly in Vancouver) police will try to catch you in the act, but if you have no more weed on you, there is nothing they can do.
Haha, I'm from VanCity man, it's still illegal to smoke weed on the streets, but very rarely will cops do anything about it.
It's legal to carry one ounce of unrolled weed though.

Actually pretty much everyone in Canada is green friendly lol …..its really sad our country is actually really lame…..were i live lots of ppl grow their own lol ……one word : PATHETIC!! were such a lamo country :'( but then again we dont goin around starting wars and bullying small innocent *cough* US*cough*
u can get arrested but usually don't lots of ppl in canada grow there own …my neighbor does….CAnada allows almost anything…but were vry accepting of ppl and i mean ok some ppl do weed but we allow same-gender marriages, and we vry multi-cultural and freedom of religion and evrything …and like was said ealier …we dont beat up innocent countries and go around be sluts and skanks …..the US is much worse than us lol …..
LOL So true I'm From Vancouver, it's not Legal to smoke weed on the streets. Smoking Pot has been Decriminalized. Which means LIGHT IT UP!! ( but be careful) The cops don't really care, there's to many crackers running around to give two hoots about some pot smoking hippies… On April 20th ( 420 ) There's a pot smoking festival @ the Art Gallery in Downtown Vancouver. Stoners Unite ! The cops just stand around and watch everybody Blaze. It's Bananas! Vancouver Rocks….. Perezzers should come up for a visit !!!!

yeah everyone smokes pot back home, there's a few cafes for it too but probably not as big as in amsterdam. cops won't fine you unless you have a large amount and are clearly a dealer.
B.C is very herb friendly.. But it's a stretch to say you can roam around free with it. Try Salt Spring Island, B.C.. helloo stonerville.
It's decriminalized in Vancouver….which is just another way of stating that if you have less than an ounce they will confiscate it but not charge you. Anything over an ounce is considered possession with the intent to traffic and that is still illegal.
The Vancouver Art Gallery (which is spectacular btw) has huge cement stairs outside and at any given time there are numerous groups of people blazing freely on those stairs. If you're into the ganj I recommend you see it at least once in your life; it's a postcard for Liberalism.

Very rarely will most cops do anything if you are smoking a joint in Canada. Well, i've lived in Ontario all my life, and if you're driving a vehicle and they smell weed they will ask you to give them your weed, but if you're just walking around smoking a joint, they often won't do anything, or they'll tell you to go home. I LOVE MY CANADA!!!

As a Vancouverite, it's true! The worst they would ever do is dump your weed on the ground and smash you pipe if you happen to be smoking with one. It mostly has to do with the courts here in Canada. They don't want to waste time on prosecuting a couple of 20 year olds for smoking weed when there are more important things to do.

They are pretty relaxed about it.. though not legal. Vansterdam has at least decriminalized though, right? In Denver, CO, they finally legalized for personal use. Hooray! Lilly Allen just got a whole lot cooler!
