Twilight Anime Coming To Japan?

Twilight may be adapted into an anime series in Japan!
Director Catherine Hardwicke spilled the beans on the commentary track for the upcoming Twilight DVD after R-Patz remarked he looks "like an anime character" in the final scene of the film.
Hardwicke replied to Pattinson, saying, "Hey, I think there's going to be an anime version of this in Japan. So you will be an anime character."

i think the whole series should have been done anime rather than live action b/c you could have done the sparkle and other stuff much better in anime form.
Seriously, all the Twilight fans in Japan must be underground (or in the closet) because I live in Tokyo and I have yet to meet anybody who likes the movies or even knows what they are.

I haven't seen a good anime since cowboy bebop. Everything today involves eyes the size of dinner plates, "OMG SO CUTE" crap, boobs that are bigger than the women who own them, androgynous guys, and convoluted, super-emo plots.

I cried like an anime character when I read this news. This is terrible. Vampire Knight (the anime is horrible, but the manga is pretty good; bloody and gloomy, with photosensitive vampires) was terrible; one bad vampire anime was enough, and now they want to do Twilight?!
