Time Out New York sincerely apologizes for the confusion. We stand by our sources, and our friend of the family first confirmed "dead" and then called back to say "brain dead." We find the situation incredibly tragic and obviously wish to only report the facts.
We stand by our new statement that she is brain dead and not expected to survive. Unfortunately, the article was not taken down — our website crashed from traffic. Time Out New York regrets the error.

I agree with the others who think you should have had more secure sources. This is more proof why 'gossip' is evil. Gossip hurts people and ruins people's lives. I am going to quit coming to your evil, gossipy site full of rumors and full of very little truth.
I love you Perez, but next time consider the source. They don't even spell her husband's name correctly. Hopefully, the family will sue Time Out New York for putting out a hurtful item like this and letting it spread like wildfire.

People! People! This is a gossip website, does it need to be spelled out for you? If you don't like it don't read it. He doesn't need to have credible sources to post gossip. If you don't like Perez - don't visit his website, pure and simple. You're giving him more visitors by coming to the site and adding more fuel to the gossip fire.
