The folks over at Parade have calculated the top moneymakers in their upcoming “What People Earn” issue and revealed the salaries of some of America’s most famous celebs!
The issue features Jennifer Aniston, who earned $27 million over 2008 due to the surprise hit Marley & Me, on the cover, but Maniston’s wages don’t hold a candle to 2008’s top earner: Barbie!
Barbie and Mattel brought in a whopping $3.3 billion for the year!
That’s a whole lotta plastic boobies!
Parade spilled the deets of some of our favorite celebs’ salaries, with Britney Spears raking in a modest $2.25 million and Beyonce earning a phenomenal $80 million!!
Tween idol Taylor Swift even topped Brit Brit by making $5.5 million for the year!
Funnywoman and 30 Rock star Tina Fey was able to earn $4.6 million, but her former SNL cast mate Will Ferrell blew her figure out of the park, bringing in $31 million in 2008 alone!
Speaking of blowing out of the park, perpetual playboy for the Yankees A-Rod brought in $34 million for the year, making him currently the top earning player in baseball.
Parade then compared the celebs’ salaries to those of the average American and found that celebrities earned 115 times more than your average Joe in 2008!
Yuck!
