In the latest round of interviews with Miss California herself, Carrie Prejean explains that she believes the controversial question we popped the pageant queen Sunday night was solely a test of Prejean's faith???
"By having to answer that question in front of a national audience, God was testing my character and faith. I'm glad I stayed true to myself," said Prejean in an interview Monday night.

Carrie Prejean: Yes, lots of phone calls. I've gotten over 500 facebook friend requests, hundreds of messages from people I don’t know, saying how proud of me they are that I stood my ground. That made me the real winner of the night.
FOXNews.com: Did your stomach sink when you first heard you picked Perez Hilton's question?
Carrie Prejean: I had a gut feeling. I knew he was controversial, and so was the question. Out of all the topics I studied up on, I dreaded that one, I prayed I would not be asked about gay marriage. If I had any other question, I know I would have won.
FOXNews.com: Did you think right away your answer may have killed your chances of winning?
Carrie Prejean: Yeah, I thought I was going to be 4th runner up for sure. I was surprised I made it to first runner up!
FOXNews.com: Before "the question," did you think you would win Miss USA?
Carrie Prejean: There was a lot of talk about me, people saying I was the frontrunner. During the whole two-week experience leading up to the pageant, I was very confident and relaxed. Not too nervous.
FOXNews.com: Were you sad you didn't win? Did you go to the party afterwards, or go home and cry?
Carrie Prejean: No, I got together with my family. I ate my first hamburger in a long time!
FOXNews.com: Has the Miss Universe organization contacted you at all? What about your Miss California USA directors?
Carrie Prejean: I haven't been told anything. I didn't even see the Miss California directors after the pageant.
FOXNews.com: Are you upset that Perez Hilton called you a "b**ch" in his blog rant?
Carrie Prejean: Yes, but I have no regrets about answering honestly. He asked me for my opinion and I gave it to him. I have nothing against gay people, and I didn't mean to offend anyone in my answer.

First, Thank GOD for Carrie Prejean!!! Her actions made a NATIONAL EXAMPLE of how a true Christian should behave. I do believe that she probably lost the Miss USA competition due to her loss of votes from the left-wing judges. By this, Carrie willingly gave up the possibility for the crown of Miss USA to show the World that she loves Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior!
Mark 8:36 states: "And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world, but lose your soul?"
The title Miss USA has been a prestigious title in the past, but when we have judges that intimidate contestants with their attempts to push THEIR immoral values on America, then I could care less about this competition.
I also thank GOD for the bloggers on this forum who agree with these Christian values and look up to Carrie Prejean for standing up for her beliefs.
Lastly, I thank GOD that he allowed Perez Hilton to show his true colors and give Secular Liberals another black eye.

I think the real issue is you are allowed to have your own opinion as long as Perez agrees. The only ones making a fuss about it besides Perez has to disagree with her to keep their jobs. Whether I agree or disagree with her, I say good for her for staying true to herself. Who cares what the rest of the world thinks. It should be discrimination to her for people getting upset for the way she feels. Plus maybe the next time they need a judge, they won"t use Perez. He doesn't like discrimination against sexual orientation but he is the first to discriminate against everyone else.
This whole thing has made Perez look bad. Really bad. I think he's made it worse for his cause. He's going around acting like an immature fool. She stood her ground and that's that. First of all I listen to Perez every morning on B96. As far as his question at the pageant….brilliant! Controversial, but definitely outstanding. Despite EVERYONE's opinion on the subject of same sex marriage, it boiled down to her answer, which SUCKED! Her opinion was just that…her opinion. But her answer was ignorant. She stated that "In her Country people have the freedom to choose same sex marriage or opposite sex marriage" WRONG! That is exactly Perez's point! Only if you live in the states that have passed that law are you able to have a same sex marriage. That sentance alone coming out of her mouth showed that she is not good under tough, pressured questions and IMO ruled her out for Miss USA!
Regardless of her opinion, it was the way she answered the question! Face it her opinion, no matter what it was, was going to piss some people off! But Miss USA material would not have said such a stupid, false statement. Furthermore, her ego afterwards was no help! I am afraid I am disappointed by the reaction of so many including Perez regarding Ms. California's "mishap." While I support gay marriage and I disagree with her comments, I am shocked that no one has any respect for someone who has stood up for their beliefs, was honest and thought provoking. What is wrong with that? If you (Perez, whomever) want someone to respect your ideas, why do you have such little respect for hers? What is wrong with standing up for your beliefs? Isn't that what the LGBT community has done for so many years and continues to do? She isn't full of hate. She says she has no problems with being gay. Perez - since you are playing symantics in your tv appearances, I agree, as far as a pageant contestent and technical aspect - how she answered was horrible. On Larry King you stated "she as Miss USA should answer politically correct" but the tape shows you asking the question to her not her as MISS USA. You have a format how she should have answered - i have a way of how you should have asked to get your desired result - "as Miss USA" how do you feel about this issue. I felt she answered you as person to person as the question was asked, not Miss USA to judge. That was her mistake. She should have answered as Miss USA even if you did not pose the question in that format. It is the pageant big leagues. I also feel you should have been consistent on you platform for the other contestants - not the same question but along the lines of your issues/concerns. Kudos to you to get the issue and your brand out there. For the record I am for gay marriage, and against your rants against her. Your initial reaction was because she did not say she was for gay marriage like you wanted her to, now you are critiquing her format. Miss California Does not need to explain herself. She answered your question correctly and completely. You asked her what she thought and she answered it with her opinion.
If you wanted her to answer the question differently, you should have asked her what she thought YOU would want the states to do about gay marriage. You cannot pose a question about someone's opinion and then get mad when they give an answer that you do not agree with. That is why it is called an opinion.
She answered your question very politely and did not put anyone down; she simply said that was how she felt on the subject. It had nothing to do with anyone else.
You sir had no right to call her names like that; she did nothing to hurt or discredit you or your cause. She simply stated her opinion, answering the question you asked.
Also–Her answer was not the worst in history, if you can recall a few years ago there was a silly little question about reading maps….I think that one still wins.
