I wasn't even suggesting that society or God or the president *forces* women to do these beauty pageants. I agree, if women want to waddle around in a bikini, that's fine. I was, however, specifically addressing the issue of Perez. Here he's on this quest for the social advancement of one group (GLBTQ) while participating in the objectification and minimization of another group (women).

As much as support TOTAL equal rights for gays & lesbians, and as much as I agree with you about Miss Dark Ages' comments….unfortunately, it is now turning into so much publicity for the skank. As she said to Matt Lauer, she wouldn't be on the show if it weren't for the uproar. She doesn't deserve the press she's getting….I applaud you not dropping it, and obviously you are way smarter and more articulate than that dipstick, but I don't think you would be doing a disservice to the cause if you stopped giving her so much publicity. Of course, you're an angry gay with an agenda! I'm angry, too, and I'm not gay! Love you much, you're fabuloso!
