Your voice has given me such hope, such inspiration, such happiness. Your fans here in Manila mourn your passing even if you did not fulfill your promise you made to us in 1993 to return to Manila and sing for us once again. God's choir of angels has just gained a superstar.

Dormi Bene O Principe….. Hai Vinto!

All the great truly talented people are dying/ disappearing (almost like dinosaurs) and we're left with the talentless Britneys of the world who think talent=showing off their hooch in public while they lip sync to their computer modified grunting and moaning. Sick.

I'll tell you what he did. He made the world sit up and listen to the sound of opera for the first time. He captured the hearts of people all over the world with his incredible voice and his unwavering charity work. And most importantly, he followed his dreams. You could learn something from that.

Re: Captain Obvious – Captain Obvious, I hope you get even that. Clearly, you are unaware of what this man brought to the world–and not just to the world of music. I mean, besides being at the forefront of opera music (because THAT'S nothing, right?), Pavarotti–his voice–has the ability to deeply affect people. Listening to him sing can be a very spiritual experience as it is a voice like no other. And Pavarotti acknowledged his voice not as a talent, but as a gift. He gave back just as much as he was given. Talk about having God on your side.
