I'll never understand how anyone can try and tell somebody how to live their lives. I have no faith in God yet would be allowed to be married to a man in a church yet 2 men/woman who believed in god cannot have that right because of what some small minded idiots think. Doesn't matter that nobody truly follows the bible anyway! who would want to marry in a church and take vows infront of a God who thought less of someone because of their sexuality. if there is a god he made us who we are so of course he would want gay couples to marry. Marriage is just a certificate. If they make gay's have civil unions, it would eventually be called marriage anyways. In canada it's legal and frankly it didn't effect my life in anyway and I didn't see the raining blood or locusts eating everything. perez just come to canada. we discriminate against no one. The United States should take a page out of our book and stop living in the past. The bible isnt meant to be taken literally. It shouldn't be that you are pro gay marriage or against it; its about respecting the right that everyone should be able to get married no matter what. People are going to look back at this in history one day and be shocked that laws prevented certain individuals to common basic rights because of who they were.

I think everyone deserves the right to marry in the eyes of the law. If a church does not want to marry two people then so be it but in the eyes of the government everyone should be allowed to marry. This is not a religious issues. Our country was founded on the separation of church and state and that is the way it needs to be. This exact same thing was happening fifty years ago only with interracial marriage. I am a Christian and I believe gays should have the right to be married.

I am a catholic canadian and I believe that everyone should have the right to marry who they love. As stated in the video, how would YOU feel, as a heterosexual, if the government told you you couldn't marry the person you love? Marriage should never be about politics! I have several gay friends, and will even be the "best man" at the wedding of my friend and his partner and it makes me mad when someone who doesn't even know them says that their love is DISCUSTING (P.S. learn to spell…its disGusting…)
