Is Twilight the new Harry Potter?
Turns out the hit flick and novels have outgrown the regular booths at convention sites.
In fact, Twilight will now have its own convention… TwiCon!!!
Seriously?!?!
According to reports, Texas will hold the largest US conference fully inspired by the Twilight series.
This summer, the Sheraton Dallas Hotel will host the 4 day convention (from July 30th-August 2nd), which will feature music inspired by the sexy vampires and even a Volturi Masque Ball.
Twilight mania is unstoppable!

Twicon tickets went onsale last October. I'm totally going since I'm from Dallas lol, most of the cast will be there and tons of people and bands. It's going to be great.

RPatz is delicious and I am waiting for Lautner to become legal so I can say that about him too. Twilight is certainly my guilty pleasure but it might be a bit hard to rationalize flying to Texas to go to a Volturi Ball. More power to the people who can!

Yesterday at work two girls (one of them 28 years old) said they're "In Love" with Robert Pattinson. I think it's funny. People are seriously obsessed with him, and the movie. Granted the books are not as well written as HP, but there is something to be said about how they read. She is a decent storyteller, but more importantly, the Twilight characters are well developed and therefore super easy to fall in love with. Im a devoted fan of both.

JK is definately a better writer but theres something to be said about the Twilight books…Stephanie Meyer just developed the characters in a way that made them very easy to fall in love with. I'm a HUGE fan of the Twilight phenom but I would rather be shot than go to a convention where I have to listen to 13 year old girls scream for 4 days or however long it is…unless Rob is there…then I would probably rape him…

first of all, Twilight is the shizz nit. everyone has there opinion. not all fans are screaming tweens that think Rob is really Edward. there is a much older fan base out there. im sure alot of fans that will not even show up to TwiCon unless Robert or Taylor will be there. i think that its cool that they now have a Twilight convention. i agree that there will be alot of screaming little girls there. for all those that get a chance to go. bring your ear plugs. i have seen alot of videos of Twilight events and honestly you cannot even watch them because of all the high pitched screams and crying. especially if Rob is there. forget it..its non stop. for all that get to go… have fun..and bring alot of Motrin.
