Is Twilight the new Harry Potter?
Turns out the hit flick and novels have outgrown the regular booths at convention sites.
In fact, Twilight will now have its own convention… TwiCon!!!
Seriously?!?!
According to reports, Texas will hold the largest US conference fully inspired by the Twilight series.
This summer, the Sheraton Dallas Hotel will host the 4 day convention (from July 30th-August 2nd), which will feature music inspired by the sexy vampires and even a Volturi Masque Ball.
Twilight mania is unstoppable!

any other people only like it for robert pattinson.
but it has nothing on harry potter, once the twilight movies are finished the whole hype will dissapear, but when the hp movies are finished people will still want to see them and read the books.

Forget Twilight, which seemed kind of for teens, True Blood on HBO is SO much better! In fact, Perez, how about some scoops on that show. The second season is due to start in June. I subscribed to HBO just for that show (well, and Bill Maher).
regardless of what people might say(numbers, marketing bla bla), Twilight is much more than HP…what Summit made out of Twilight the movie with 30something million dollars, Warner Bros would never be able to accomplish with all their gargantuan budget…and truth be told people didn't even care what the movie looked like when they passed their credit cards to the cashier at the movies or at Target/Borders/Hot Topic/Amazon for the DVD…the characters alone are so pure win…
and on that note, Harry Potter doesn't light a candle to Edward Cullen to be honest, and really…Robert Pattinson is so much out of Daniel Radcliffe's league it's not even funny to compare the 2

Ugh. Now if only there could be a story that intices people to do something meaningful with their lives. Have a convention that maybe helps other people instead of just paying Stephanie Meyer's bills.
