Everyone who is saying they can't believe Howard could say this are obviously not listeners so they really aren't in a position to comment.
Those of us who are listeners know that Howard supports gay rights, and that some of the best moments of the show happen with gay guests, especially George Takei. He also is a vocal supporter of a woman's right to choose. His views are admirable, he is intelligent and as listeners know, often the only voice of sanity on that show.
