TV execs for several popular Spanish soap operas have opted to reduce the number of kissing scenes in each show for fear of spreading the Swine Flu H1N1 Virus.
Members of Mexico’s Televisa, who produce many of the popular telenovelas, have already stated that several precautions have been put in place to prevent the spread of any disease.
Actors and crew members have even been advised not to greet each other with handshakes or a kiss. Screenwriters have also been told to reduce the number of “on-contact” scenes in each episode.
There haven’t been any reported cases of the swine flu by anyone in the entertainment industry yet. Let’s hope it stays that way!
