She is discriminating against a group of people based on their sexual orientation, something that is no more under their control than the colour of their skin, their gender, etc. People defend her, saying that she has a right to her opinion - fine. Although I don't agree with denying other people the same rights and privileges that you yourself are entitled to simply because those people have a different lifestyle, I cannot deny her right to free speech. But the big problem in this case is that Miss California defends her views by referring to the Bible, and by preaching about what God wants (personally, I don't believe that God would create a second-class group of people; we are all equal and we should all be entitled to the same rights). I'm assuming that posing for these sexually provocative photos would be considered a sin. If you're going to be so brazen and arrogant as to speak out against the very *rights* of a group of people, then you better make damn sure that you are not imposing a double-standard.
