Okay guys, put your medical masks away.
It turns out the Swine Flu is no worse than the regular seasonal flu, the government is now saying.
But we’re not out of the woods yet, because there is still a concern that the particular strain of the virus may return twice as strong.
Despite these concerns, the World Health Organization is refraining from raising its alert to a Level 6 because they are not “seeing continued spread of the virus to countries outside of one region.”
So far the US Center for Disease Control reports 279 cases across 36 states, with most of its sufferers along the median age of 16. In other words, it’s a bunch of kids – who normally get the flu.
Regardless, China – which still recalls its SARS outbreak – is taking no chances, holding Mexican and United States citizens in quarantine.
